I will definatly make time to visit IOA. Last time I was in Orlando we stayed in a hotel about 1.5miles from IOA. One day, instead of using the comp bus to disney, we took a taxi from our hotel to DTD and it cost us about $20.

Next year we are staying in disney property and will will happily spend the $40 return taxi fair to IOA.

There is a change that we will visit sea world too (I love the rollercoaster there - One of the best I have ever ridden) but I'm not that fussed.

We've been to all three outside parks, however, we dont' go very often. We went to Disneyland for the 50th and we also did Sea World In San Diego and Universal Studios. That was fun but when we are in Disney World it's sort of a chore to go there. The last time we went was in 2001 and because of 9/11 there was nobody in IOA. It was like having the whole park to ourselves, no lines, nobody in the restaurants, etc. We know we'll never be that lucky again so we haven't been since!

Went to IOA right after 9/11 with a friend and park employees were suprised to see us. We were the only americans in the park, and almost everyone else spoke a different language. We constantly got "You're American?" at all the drink/food places.

I love Sea World. It isn't Disney, knows it isn't Disney, and it isn't openly trying to compete against Disney. And the free beer and Penguins rock :)

I would probably go to IOA, but not by myself. I liked it, but wasn't crazy about it the two times I've gone.

Now Sea World, probably not a chance. I can get in free with my military ID, and I still haven't gone. :lookaroun

Never been to Sea World or Universal and I don't intend to. I'd rather be at WDW for my entire vacation. If I lived in Orlando I would probably visit them though.

Just before I moved from Orlando I went with friends All 3 of us got in for $99.99.

I am not against the other parks in Florida. In fact we talking about doing a 2 week trip when our son is old enough for all the area attractions.

I don't think the current price of universal and sea world are worth the money. I'm a diehard Disney fan but Universal and Sea World are pretty ok parks and I do visit them from time to time. I just wish Universal will add some new major rides to there parks. Universal is really dated. And whats with closing Back to the Future to just change the video screen movie and add the Simpson? Thats the same crap they did with the Jimmy Neutron ride. Just change the video and call it a new ride. Give me a brake. Disney is light years ahead of Universal. I usually visit Univeral during Halloween Horror Nights thats probably a good time to visit because you can save some money on ticket prices. But even Halloween Horror Nights has gone down the drain. Their are so many people in the park that you can only see one haunted house because the line is like two hours long. And don't get me started on Island of Adventure, it has not seen a major new ride since it opend. Now that's a shame. Sea World on the other hand is a very cool park. They are really moving in a good direction with Discovery Cove and Aquatica. So I think Disney will get you more for your money.

A park is a park, and I'll visit it if the rides are good enough, and the tickets are cheap enough. I'll continue visiting Uni and Seaworld, but as I only get to go to WDW every few years I'll still only spend a few days on all three.

For anyone who is interested - I went to IOA this january and there was no queue at all:sohappy: We walked on to every single ride waiting only long enough for the next train / car to pull into the station. We even rode upfront on dualing dragons several times without waiting more than 5 minutes.

Even though we finished the park in a morning we went back for a second visit a few days later because the quality of the rides is good and I need my coaster fix (the disney ones are good but not as intense!).

I will be going back again but I doubt we will get so lucky with the wait times. At disney the crowds seem to add to the atmosphere a bit but in other parks I just wanna get straight on the rides.

Your short wait times at Islands of Adventure is an example of how slow Universal's attendance is. It has to be the lack of new e-tickets at the park. And they think Blue Man Group will save the day, I don't think so.

Haven't been to Sea World since the mid-90s. I keep meaning to get over there and get a taste of Kracken, but haven't yet.

I've got APs at Universal. $15 per month for unlimited Mummy, Spidey, Hulk and Dragons is too good to pass up. Which allows me to restate the fact that Disney NEEDS to offer a flex-pay option for APs like Uni does.

I put all 3.

Actually, we have annual passed to Universal - we barely notice the $15 a month on the payment plan.

We go about 3 times a year (from Michigan). We usually go 2 long weekends (3 nights) and 1 week each year. on the weekend, we stroll through universal during the day and go out at night, or drive to daytona, or one Disney Park, or some combination of the above. On the week, we do about 3 days at Disney, 1.5 at Universal, and miscellaneous activities the rest of the time. Disney gets too expensive. Even though I love it, we go to timeshares to ease the price. We've gotten great at telling them NO. (no way we're paying that interest). plus my boyfriend and i go separately, so it's worth 2 hours for 4 one-day passes at Disney. We like to shop and eat out a lot and go out to clubs so it's hard to spend $300 or so per person on tickets. But it's ok. If we don't see everthing, it gives us something to look forward to the next time!
