Pointless but fun poll:

Where is your favorite place to begin touring World Showcase: Mexico, Canada, or Friendship boats?

Almost always Canada, but most of the time it depends on what restaurant I have PS at for lunch and whether the restaurant is closer to Canada or Mexico. Usually, it seems most of the restaurants I usually do lunch at are on the Canada side, so I start there.

I don't think I've ever started from Canada...9/10 it's ALWAYS Mexico. Although if we're around Imagination, I guess we sneak up through Canada. It's almost always the other way around.

Unless we enter through the France/International Gateway area. :wave:

9/10 Canada. Probably because even tho I've seen 'em a hundred times I still love the Canada and France movies. Especially the music from the France film. Had to buy the cd with the music on it.

Well, I've only been once (but I go again in less than three weeks!!) and we did Mexico first the first day but Canada the second day. This time we are headed for Canada first because we had the most awesome caramel apples there last time. That was way back in '97 though so maybe they don't have them?? It might have been at their Food & Wine Festival booth?? They were SO good - crisp juicy apples and caramel almost a half inch thick...mmmmm.....19 more days.....

Never thought of it until you posted this. I guess we start at Mexico almost everytime!! And we always leave RoE through Canada direction. :wave:

I usually start In Mexico and wind up in Canada... then I Back Track.... watch Illuminations... then leave WS back thru Mexico.

Or If I have a PS on the other side of WS lagoon... or if I am dead on my feet exhausted.. I will jump on a Friendship.

I choose Canada only because the architecture is more pleasant to view while touring the lagoon counter-clockwise. For example, as you cross the bridge into France you can see the "city" sprawled out in front of you (and the Eiffel tower in the background-- if they ever replace it!)

Also, when touring counter-clockwise, you're less likely to notice the hideous Swan and Dolphin hotels ruining the skyline, along with the Tower of Terror. Approaching from Mexico, these outside landmarks stand out like sore thumbs.

Always, always Mexico! Not sure why, jsut habit. Prolly b/c it's closest to Norway, our heritage. But then wlak all the way around.

This vacation will be the Gateway as we will be staying at Yacht Club.

Another thing--we don't spend time in Future World. Pass right through and head to the countries. Maybe do Imag. or TT once...

Always at Mexico because we usually get to the WS around lunchtime and my family always eats at Norway.

YOu know I am reading everyone's reply and saying they all start at Mexico. It is a weird thing since statistically speaking people tend to pick the rightside to start on and Mexico would be on the left. Weird, Huh??

Come to think of it, I don't think I've EVER started in Canada. Weird. I never thought about going that way. The only other place I've started (which is not an option) is the International Gateway between France and the United Kingdom. Next time I'll make a point of starting in Canada...

Most of the time I start at Mexico. The only time I started with Canada was when they had the Millennium Village.

Now that I think about it, my routes through the world showcase have always been starting with mexico. I hit el rio del tiempo, then the maelstrom, moving on the american adventure, eating dinner at biergarten, and before I know it I'm leaving through the canada side after watching Illuminations from the american adventure. I guess I've always been a habit of doing it that way.

I take the bus to where I want to go.

If not, I usually start in Mexico because it's closer to my parking.

I start in Canada and go counter-clockwise. It doesn't matter what theme park i'm in, I always start on the right hand side and go counter-clockwise.
