I am biased towards Hoop De Doo, though thats because I have not seen the Spirit of Aloha show.

Both shows are great but the big polarizing thing will be the food. Hoop De Do had fried chicken, ribs, beans etc which tend to please a fairly wide variety of palates. The luau on the other hand has food with a Polynesian flair winch people either tend to love or hate.

Hoop de Doo hands down!

Maybe its because I was only 10, when I saw the Spirit of Aloha, but all I really remember is how incredibly long the whole thing was. Yes, I remmeber loving the fire dancer guys, but by the end I was past ready to go and never return.

Now, I was in my 20s the first time I saw Hoop de Doo and it has been a must see ever since.

Hoop Dee is a must "Doo". Just like Eyorefan I saw Aloha when I was younger (I think I was 4 or 6 when I saw it, I'm 25 now) so I can't have an honest opinion about it, but Hoop Dee Doo is the first thing my family has always booked and that now I plan my own WDW trips its the first thing I book everytime. Good food, good show, unlimited beer (which makes the show that much better), I couldn't imagine having as good of a time at Aloha.

Hoop Dee Doo! was there on my birthday - great fun! food is great too and its just a fun night out no matter what your age so since our group is from kids to grandparents sometimes its a good choice for us.
