I'm at Disneyland right now playing Pokemon Go. There are a lot of Pokemon around here. The Haunted Mansion is a Pokemon gym to practice your combat skills. Anyone else playing here?
That is AWESOME. if would be great if someone claims and keeps that site using a Gastly or a Haunter. :D

In all seriousness, please post any rare ones you find at DL. I'm up to my neck in Psyducks and Eevees in my town. A Tauros would get me to the resort quicker than Frozen Live. :D

Are people playing it inside The Haunted Mansion? I might not go tomorrow...
I can't play in the mansion, my 4g dies inside attractions. I've seen a lot of people playing it in outdoor lines. I'll have to check what monsters I found.

Disney should come up with their own version of this game. Imagine pointing the camera at the Mansion and seeing ghosts in AR.

I was thinking the exact same thing-- Bet someone's puttin' a sales pitch together for that right now. As long as they keep it outside. Full size yeti walking around the base of the Matterhorn! :D

I found out pokemon(s) pop up more often when theres a lot of cellular usage in one area. Thats why the disney parks are rated top places to play.

I've beenplaying over here at the WDW parks and its crazy!

It's so sad that people in this thread are actually serious. People are TRYING to play inside attractions? How about no. Don't.
As someone who can't stand lit phone screens in shows and rides, I would NEVER try to catch Pokemon in an attraction. Never... Unless I was the only one in the vehicle, no one else could see me and a Tauros was lurking nearby... :D

People have to play video games on their phone while at Disneyland.

Everyone knows Disneyland is boring and doesn't have much in the way of entertainment.
I'm generally anti-games in the parks, but for frequent visitors, the novelty of snapping a picture of Pikachu on a teacup or Snorlax on the rails of an E-stopped Space Mountain could be fun. It's a new, surreal experience. If Disney tries something similar with their own IP, I'd prefer it to their other recent attempts to bring off-ride gaming into the parks.

I'll play video games while standing in line. Because standing in line is boring, even at Disneyland.

Yeah I think a lot people that don't play pokemon go dont realize that you don't have to be on the ride or inside the actual attraction to play the game you just have to be near certain areas that are geo-locations. As for me I usually shut it off before heading into an attraction unless we get stuck in some sort of delay in the queue. I love the game and so ill continue to play at the parks because its the best place by far to play the game. I also have to mention I live about 10 mins from magic kingdom so I am always at the WDW parks and its been a fun little evening activity to pair with some rides and fireworks.

At magic kingdom yyesterdy, ppeople were playing in line and during shows.
During shows is just wrong. I mean... Even if you had a chance to take a picture of Charizard on the stairs with Elsa singing "Let It Go"... Man, that sounds tempting... No, no I'm sticking to courtesy. It's not really any worse than taking normal photos or video during shows, but I don't like seeing *any* kind of phone use during performances.

Pokemon Go takes up a lot of battery since the camera and the gps are turned on. It's also hard to get connected because of the overwhelming response to it. The servers are flooded.

Most people in lines are staring at their phones in line. Most are messaging people. (most likely messaging people around them) Kids are always playing games in line. It keeps them occupied instead of their parents actually interacting with them. Disney needs to tap into this market with something fun to do in line.

At Mickeys Phillarmagic, about 15 people (young and old) were all on Pokemon Go

I read in line. An actual book, usually, because I need to conserve battery power on my phone at DL.
I'd try Pokemon go in line a few times for the novelty of getting a good surreal shot of a Pokemon where it shouldn't be (the excellent use of AR is by far the most fun aspect of the game), but usually I talk to my family while in line. If I'm solo, I'm probably snapping pics of obscure park details, because I'm such a DL geek.

Speaking of battery use: Pokemon Go can drain my phone from full charge to zero in an hour. It's like a battery vampire. :D
