Hi all! I am a long time reader of these boards but have never posted. We are planning another trip to Disney for Thanksgiving week. We really want to get back to POFQ. Does anyone know when it is supposed to re-open. I read on another board that it is rumored to be May. Anyone out there have any ansight?
Thanks so much!

The irony about this question is that a cast member at Magic Kingdom told us that POFQ is being converted to DVC. Where he got this from; who knows?

I have found out some info. They just closed POFQ in May of 2003. They are slated to be closed for 2 years. So that makes the reopening to be sometime in 2005. They are also getting ready to start rehab on Riverside at the end of this year. If you need to look at another moderate I might suggest Coronado Springs. It has a great pool and wonderful food court. The really great thing about this resort is it is the only resort on its bus line. That makes bus service very good.

I doubt they would turn French Quarter into DVC. Old Key West is right next door, and they just built Saratoga Springs right down the street. You never know, though!

they aren't your right beach club because okw and saratoga are there and that they already have there eyes on to make the newest resort at one of the golf courses i heard rumors they already start building there. but i still can't tell ya anything about pofq for the fact that i thought the whole place was shut down well at least it was when i was last there. so this is the first time i am hearing it is open again.

Different sections of Port Orleans have been shuttered off and on depending on crowds for years now.

I wouldn't look for it to reopen as soon as work is completed unless demand is there, or it might reopen and Riverside might be shut down without work started on it.
