Pleasure Island/MGM Studios question

How long does it take to get from MGM to PI? I just booked tickets at the AMC for Star Wars @ 9:45. I just want to make sure we'll have enough time to see Fantasmic and book it to PI. We're going to be using Disney's transportation so we have to take that into consideration. Thanks a ton.

You are cutting it pretty close. I recommend taking a taxi from MGM to the AMC. Good luck and may the force be with you (sorry, but I couldn't resist).

I second taking a taxi! You will save yourself LOTS of Disney Transport headache.. and it is a pretty short ride. I'm sure you want to get to AMC early.. since the show will likely be a sell out and you'll want to line up for seats.

hehe maybe after a day of star wars days we'd be able to jedi mind trick the cabbie. about how much is a cab from MGM to AMC? Should we call for one beforehand or how should we do it??

EDIT: Forget my dilemma. The day before the movies (I got our tix on moviephone) we're hitting AK. Since it closes at 5 that day, we're just going to go back to the hotel to do dinner then hop on a bus to MGM to catch Fantasmic. The next day is our MGM day and since we'll have already hit Fantasmic the day before, we can skip out early to hit the movies.

When is / was the film released in America ???
We've got to wait until May 19th
Quite honestly I would of thought a May the 4th (May the force..... - get it  ) release much more appropriate

Seeing as Fantasmic! ends at 9 that day, and allowing time to leave the park, which would be probobly 15 minutes, that leaves you 30 minutes to get over there. So like many have said, I suggest a taxi. You'll be cutting it close, but worst case scenario is you miss a couple previews. Hopefully. If you have seen Fantasmic! already, I would suggest heading out during the final scene and beat the rush, that could save you 5, maybe 10 minutes getting out.

Depending on the day you are going to see Episode 3 you might want to allow more time. If you are going on the 19th and you don’t get to the theater about an hour before the movie starts you are going to be watching it from the front row and forget about sitting with whoever you come with.

How did you do this? We will be there when it opens, and I'm wondering how to get tickets in advance, if possible.

moviefone.com.. put in walt disney world for the city (yup! can ya believe it?) and select AMC Theaters Pleasure Island. Now unless someone spots that I made a booboo (which I beg you to alert me of!) that's the theater at DTD. From there you can select your date all the way up to May 26. It'll say "Get tickets" and I'm sure you can go from there.

We're going the 21st to see SW3. We decided to go see Fantasmic the night before (we're planning on hitting AK that day.. since they close at 5, we'll be able to have dinner-- PS for Chef Mickey's @ 7-- and head over to MGM after dinner to catch the show). ON the 21st we won't have a problem leaving early since we just saw Fantasmic the day before. Our PS for dinner on the 21st is at 5:50. We can leave after dinner to get to the movies on time and not have to worry about rushing.
