Pleasure Island Clubs

We have never gone to the nightclubs at Pleasure Island, and were wondering what others' experiences with them were. While we enjoy going to bars and clubs at home, when we go to Disney, it seems that doesn't quite fit into the "Disney experience". We are in our early 40's and I wonder whether these clubs would appeal to us, or if they cater to the 20's and 30's group. I would appreciate any feedback others may have. Thanks.

I would definitely go back to the Adventurer's Club! (I'm a bit older than you.) It's an interactive comedy "event" that takes about 2 hours from start to finish. Yes, you are also being offered beverages, but it's not really a "bar." I'm not going to say anything else, as it might spoil the fun. The Comedy Club is also geared towards all adult ages.

Many families come to both of these clubs. The performance is then (in my experience) "toned down" because of this. When we were at AC, there were some children early on. When they left, things got a lot livelier...but never "raunchy."

I was there without my husband, so wasn't interested in the dance clubs. I also had my 18 year old daughter with me, so couln't get into some of them. By the time we finished two clubs, we were ready to head back to our resort, anyway.

BTW...they card EVERYONE at the entrance...even those who are obviously over 21! ;)

If you only go to one club go to the Adventurers club it is the best place at WDW, I am 28 and loved it more than any disco or bar.The 9 hour flight from the UK is worth it just to go there. The club is themed on 1937 and you are invited to become honourary adventurers! You'll be taught the secret club salute, club creed and the club song.I know it sounds bizarre but try it you'll love it!

I agree with The Mom and Pippa, go to the Adventures Club. That place is a lot of fun. Be sure to go when one of the "shows" has just begun. If you show up in the middle of one, it can be a bit confusing. If you give it a try, I'm sure you will enjoy yourself.

If you go, make sure to stop at 8Trax. It looks like something right out of Saturday Night Fever. I am 18 and I had a blast there, even though there were a lot of adults. The Rock n' Roll beach club was fun too. They played a lot of beach boys and other "surfer" type music.

I'm mid 30's, and I always liked the Beach Club. It's the best when they have live bands playing. They usally have a good mix of new and old music. Drinks are cheap (for Disney), and it's pretty fun.

The Adventurers Club is always fun too.

I'd say that the Adventurer's Club and the Comedy Warehouse are wonderful. The Warehouse has great improv, and with a good audience is absolutely hilarious. The Adventurer's Club has some really funny shows, and some good improv in the lounge. You can also try the Jazz Club for a low-key musical environment. The dance clubs have various kinds of music, from old stuff to new stuff. While they might be similar to clubs that you frequent at home, you never lose that sense that you're at Disney. I don't know if it's the atmosphere, the theming or what, but it's great. Go! You'll have lots of fun!

The Comedy Warehouse and the Adventurer's Club are our favorites. I even got to be part of the act at the CW one time. It was hilarious. All of the other clubs are pretty good, but they all seem to fit their unique agegroup anf style.
