we're leaving for Disney on Saturday and I've been checking the weather forecasts and it looks like rain on Tuesday, Wed. Thursday and Friday!!! Does Florida typically get that much rain this time of year?? I don't mind if it's cool, I just really hope it doesn't rain that much. Now, I must say, that the forecast seems to change everyday when I look at it but it's said rain for that last 2 days. Please tell me it's wrong!!! :brick:

I haven't seen a long-range forecast tat didn't say rain in WDW in ages, but by the time the day comes around there's little or no rain.

Be prepared, but don't worry.

We went this time last year and it got chilly and it did rain four out of the seven days. Did it rain constanly for the whole four days...No. Even with all of the rain we had, it was still nice and there are plenty of things to do even when it rains.

The weather changes constanly. Bring a poncho and some warmer clothes and you should be fine.

Yeah, I live here and I got caught in the downpour at AK this past Sunday! I am talking torrential rain. My shoes are still wet. Yes it tends to rain a lot in Winter, Spring, Fall and part of the summer....I hope it is dry for you, though! You just never can tell. Don't give up if you are in the parks. After a good, hard rain, usually it clears up if the rain starts around lunch. If is is raining early on, it tends to drizzle all day. After a good hour++ of solid rain Sunday, it cleared up by 3pm and we enjoyed overcast weather the rest of the day.

We always joke about the weather around the 24-Hours of Daytona (the Rolex), always seems like we can plan on cold and rain around that weekend. You're going a week earlier than the Rolex so maybe you'll luck out. :ROFLOL:

The 10 day forecast that I saw has rain chance on days 8, 9, 10. The forecast that many days out can be way off, it might just be overcast, or even clear. If its rain, then put on the poncho and go enjoy the smaller crowds.

I had the same forecast when we went in December. It never did rain! Remember Murphy's Law says it only rains when you do not have an umbrella or a poncho. Keep your chin up and a have great time!

We got lucky

I was scared because a few days before I was headed to WDW, the temperatures were in the 30s! And when we got there, it shot up to the upper 70s for the next 6 days. Then the day after we left, temps were back to the 50s.

We got lucky!

When I went the end of december the 10 day forecast showed highs in the 70's with a 50-60% chance of rain 4 of the 6 days... then we got there, and it didnt rain once, not even for 5 minutes! and the weather was is in the 80's! So be patient, and im sure the weather presiction will change, and then the weather will be different than the predictions! gotta love florida!

Thank you!! I hope you're right and even if it rains a little that's ok. There's 4 inches of snow on the ground outside. We've always been sooooo lucky when we've gone to Disney--weather-wise. We always go in Jan. or Nov. and we've always been able to wear shorts. I call this trip our "last hurrah" because my oldest will be in high school next year and we won't be able to take her out anymore. So, we splurged on a moderate hotel and were hoping to luck out with the weather again. But, as long as we're there it'll be fun. I'll go get some ponchos today and we'll be ready for any weather!! Thanks for all the great advice!!

Make Lemonade!

Hi - I have been there when it rains a lot as well - and usually plan on making Epcot my park on the wettest of days. Most of the things to do are inside there anyways, and if you go to the German Pavillion for lunch, relax or dance to the oompah band! And last time I knew if was going to rain before I left, so I went to the sporting goods section of WalMart (for this plug I should get a gift certificate!!!) and bought about 10 of the disposable rain ponchos - less than a buck each... and gave them out to a woman in a wheelchair, a family about to get drenched... in other words, I did good deeds and got a lot of smiles in return! Enjoy!
