We ate there several years ago for dinner & really enjoyed it.
It is not on our list of favorites, buy the food was pretty good & the characters were very interactive.
I like the fact that the restaurant rotates as you eat.

I really enjoy the Garden Grill, we like the food and the atmo of the restaurant... the characters are an added bonus. Since the restaurant is so small, you often get to see each character 2 (and sometimes 3) times as they make their rounds.

Not to mention, Farmer Mickey is adorable (I'm from Iowa)!!!

We really enjoy the theming and the more relaxed atmosphere with the characters visiting at a slower pace, (however we have been there at times when they whizzed by our table). The revolving restaurant is fun and I love the Living with the Land ride so it is fun to see the house that I would live in, in my dream world/life. The food is ok, some better than others although the menu seems to change more and sometimes you get chicken instead of turkey. THe salad is consistently great. Portions are family style but small - much smaller than I would serve at home - you can ask for more but you always have to wait. The kids meal options really seem to lack ...but my kids liked the adult options so we just ordered more (and waited). One thing that will completely change your experience is to be seated on the lower outside level - ask to be there and wait until a table opens- its worth the wait to sit lower if you are paying to eat there anyway...

The flank steak at the Garden Grill is one of my daughters favorite dishes - anywhere. I make it at home every so often (the recipe is in the sticky thread)

The food at the Garden Grill is hit or miss. Most of the time a hit. I have eaten there 6 or 7 times I will say. Once or twice it was sub par (dry and overcooked) but, as I said, most of the time is good.

As was said, it is family style, and you can always ask for more - so if you have some big eaters in your party it may be an even better choice.

I have also done the Behind the seeds tour 3 or 4 times (again, one of my kids favorites). It changes from tour to tour. Somtimes you release ladybugs, other times parasitic wasps. The food you get to sample changes as well. It is always interestng, as things are always changing in the greenhouse.

We need time for things to happen.
Another thumbs up for the Garden Grill, We always love the meal here always fresh and delicious and CHIP and DALE?? You can't beat that!
If you love living with the land you certainly will not be dissapointed with the atmosphere either.

Another thing that is always above par is the wait staff. Most have been there for 15+ years, our server said he was a newbie and had only worked there 9 years so turnover is low...

Garden Grill almost always has good food. When they are serving the green beans -OMG, best green beans I ever had! One time i saw they were serving them, tried one when they were brought out and asked the server to bring me a plate. That was my whole dinner - bread and green beans. But the veggie varies.

You go past the desert and farm scenes, but you're above them, looking down. It's an entirely different perspective. You can see into the bedroom of the farmhouse, which you can't do on the ride.

I hate to say this, because the place is already popular as heck and I don't want to add to it, lol, but I think the character interaction here is better than anywhere else.

I'm a big fan of the Garden Grill. Have fun!

We took my daughter there for the first time when she was 12. She had such a great time there that she and her friend asked if they could use some of their own money for the tip for our waitress because they had such a great time with her. They also asked her for her autograph. My daughter is 21 now and we still have to eat at Garden Grill everytime we go to WDW! The character interaction is great and we really enjoy the food. We were the first to be seated for dinner in 2009 and got a picture with all 4 characters together before being taken to our table!
