I need a little help in choosing hotel selection for December. Need to make reservations soon, but the rates have changed. Disney BoardWalk Inn or Yacht Club? We were going to stay at Animal Kingdom but the price rate went up a lot overnight. Trip for 4 adults.

Yacht Club, really close to Epcot and good transportation, as well as a fantastic pool complex. Directly in the middle of boat transportation, MGM is the 2nd stop heading west, and Epcot (a 5 min walk) is 2 stops east. Also a close walk or ride to the Boardwalk Entertainment District, but not too close, like the boardwalk itself.

We stayed at the Boardwalk Inn last summer and while the resort itself is very nice (the pool is a lot of fun) I don't think we will be going back. The restaurants are all on the boardwalk and was not really the taste of my family. Our room was on the top floor above the Flying Fish and we were never bothered by and noise from the boardwalk.

I would pick the Yacht Club, the restaurants are great, the pool is a water park unto itself and, like the Boardwalk Inn, withing walking distance of EPCOT & MGM (though the boat ride was very nice). Whatever you choose I don't think you will have a bad time.

I did find a good rate different airlines for AKL. My question now is AKL or Yacht Club. This will be a Christmas :xmas: vacation and my Moms first visit to Disney World. I just want to make a good choice. Thanks everyone for your help.

I haven't staid at either, but have staid at BCV, and saw both resorts at Christmas, I think AKL is better decorated than YC, the lobby is just so much bigger and the tree is magnificant. We will find out this year as we will be at AKL Nov 28th thru Dec 2nd. Maybe we'll see Pam from Kingdom Konsultants.

Have a great time, I know we are going to, we always do at WDW:xmas:

Both Yacht Club and Boardwalk Inn are nice. They are very close to each other, and the two theme parks. I prefer the Boardwalk over the Yacht Club. The Boardwalk is closer to the Disney/MGM Studios which helps on the walk back to the resort from the park (the boats take forever, and you can usually beat the boats by walking). Both resorts are about the same distance from Epcot. I enjoyed looking out our balcony and seeing the Eifel Tower at the Boardwalk. The Yacht club just feels a little uptight and stuffy. I always felt underdressed when walking into the lobby in Theme Park Attire.

Yacht Club!! :animwink: I like them both, of course. I just like Yacht Club better, partly because of the pool, partly because of the proximity to Epcot. You can't go wrong either way, obviously, but that's my two cents!

Call Pam @ Kingdom Konsultants. She will take care of you.

I never stayed at the Boardwalk or Yacht Club but I stayed at the Beach Club and we were very displeased but I have heard the Yacht Club is nicer. We are staying at the Boardwalk for Spring Break. I'm sure whichever you choose will be enjoyable..after all it is Disney. If you are concerned about the price for AKL try going through a travel agent or a travel website.

Yacht Club for a few reasons:
1) Close to Jellyrolls (have to go on Tuesday nights for cast member nite..too much fun)
2) closse to ESPN Zone (Duh)
3) Close to International Gate for Epcot
4) Atmousesphere is quiet and civilized
5) BEACHES AND CREAM!

Thanks.
