Please help! What is the better deal?

What do you think is the better deal? We are currently booked with the free dining, Sept. 22-Oct. 3 (11 nights) staying at POR with the MYW plus park hopper, 2 adults and a 2 year old. We paid $2591.56.

I also just got an email for the time we'll be there for $95 per night for POR. We'd have to buy our park tickets separate and pay for our own dining. Dining won't be a very big deal because my husband just had gastric bypass surgery and won't be eating much at all anyway, but would still need to eat.

So, what do you think we should do? Any thoughts?

Take the $95 a night deal. Unless your sold on POR you maybe able to get a value for even less and save more. Your hotel will end up deing about $1200 and your tickets less than $500, so unless you think you will spend more than $800 on food I would switch.

The deal you have already works out to be 235 a day plus change. If you think the food and tickets (plus the 95 + tax) will be less than that then switch, it is all whatever you want. I know my husband and myself would not eat 130 dollars of food in one day, but to include tickets too you may be equal....to what you have already paid. I have no idea what 10 day park hoppers cost.

I just did a few simple math equations and figured out that with tickets and room you are going to be at roughly 1800, maybe a little less, I can never figure tax right. So that leaves about 700 dollars for food, and then you will be at you original amount. I am not so sure it would be that great of a savings . It would be like 78 dollars a day in food and drinks, that may work out well for you but it is exactly what you have already paid, so switching to the 95 dollar moderate does not seem to be that much of a better deal.

I don't know guys. The way I see this is that she would be better off with the free dining plan. She is booked at a mod resort with free dining already right? She will be getting 80.00 a day in free dining and with the other she will only be saving 75.00 a day and she will need to buy her food. With the dining plan, it still saves you about 30%, they say, so she would have even more of a value there. I understand that her DH had surgery, so she would need to factor that but unless she could use the discount at a value and save any more, I would probably stick to the dining plan.
