Tonight we came back to our hotel room, and found that the housekeeping service took my personal pillow that I had a precious, not-replaceable baby blanket inside of. The manager says there is nothing he can do. I need to find it. Anyone have any suggestions or tips? They have said that the laundry services are closed, and all linens from today have been taken to central processing, another place that no one is able to help...

Talk to another manager, even the main manager of the hotel. Ask for a phone number for the main laundry line or ask to talk to the manager in charge of housekeeping at Kidani. Did you get an email welcoming you upon check in, I think there is an email and maybe a phone number of the resort manager on there.

There is NO excuse for them taking your pillow. I am sure that during regular cleaning they do not replace the pillows. During our stay in November, even though I requested NO housekeeping, they came in during the one hour that we were at the food court--4:30 in afternoon. They rearranged my personal items, threw out what they deemed as junk but were things I brought or were saving to take with. This was at All Star Music, which I had never had a problem with before. The manager replaced what had been taken along with an apology and some gifts but now I make sure I put anything of value in the safe and the things I don't want touched back in our suitcases while out of the room.

Well, that's one way to handle it, but I'd hate to have to keep my pillow in the safe when I'm out of the room. Maybe this is what you need...

Should never trust housekeeping staff. They are liable to do anything. Don't leave anything in your room that you wouldn't want somebody to take.
Yes they are out to ruin family trips. They are deviously thinking of ways to get their hands on people's special pillows. I think I know that particular housekeeper, here she is robbing another customer...

We put our valuables in the safe, too! In fact, every time we step out of our hotel room, we do a quick visual sweep and 90-second tidying-up of the room to make sure that:
- personal possessions and foodstuffs are put away to the extent practicable, and nothing has been left on/in the beds, where it could get accidentally scooped up in a bedding change
- all trash is in the trash bin and all dirty laundry is in a laundry bag in the closet (and not on the floor or under a bed!)
- nothing fragile or valuable has been left on any surfaces that could get knocked over during a wipedown, or that might be a temptation to theft
- there's nothing scattered on the floor (shoes, dirty towels, etc.) in a walkway that could trip someone up
- if it's time to leave a tip, the tip is out

That being said, as you say, no matter what shape a room is in, there's no excuse for anyone's personal possessions being taken or discarded! We don't tidy our room before leaving because we think it would be our fault if we didn't and something got broken or went missing: we just want to minimize the chance of those things happening accidentally. Knock on wood, it's worked for us so far.

The situation doesn't even make sense.

There was a blanket... inside of a pillow? What does that even mean? How can a blanket be inside a pillow?

And housekeeping took the pillow away? Housekeeping doesn't even take the resort pillows away, let alone someone's personal pillows.

Not saying that what the OP is claimed DIDN'T happen but every now and then some new member posts some situation that happened to them which makes absolutely no sense. Make you wonder....
Well this OP has gone so far to have the handle "devastated". With a name like that he/she might never being able to get over this, or are they devastated all the time by various things? Otherwise the more whimsical and wdwmagic forum appropriate "devastatedindisney" would have been used.

Well either they misspelled their name by accident or on purpose because they are actually, "devestated". I also like when some new member creates a thread and then never comes back and add any additional posts. Just a one and done type of thing.

I'm going out on a limb here to support the OP. As someone who also has a special childhood blankie of which I take on all vacations with me, I deeply deeply sympathize. As for the question of confusion associated with putting a blanket in a pillow case... Why is that complicated? My blankie is basically a small bundle of thread now and can easily be stuffed in a pillow case. Honestly, I feel so bad for the OP because I couldn't imagine this happening to me.

1. Because that's not what she said. She said "blanket inside the pillow." Not pillow case. I would never describe something tucked inside a pillow case as being "inside a pillow."

2. Because housekeeping doesn't take pillows, even Disney's own resort pillows. My daughter lost a stuffed animal last trip because it got wrapped up in the bedsheets. That makes sense, because housekeeping takes the bedsheets away when they change them. Housekeeping doesn't just randomly take pillows out of the room.

3. Because OP is a new member with a grand total of one post on this site, and "I just joined and made one post and that post is sort of suspicious and then I disappeared" is something that happens quite often, and it's almost never legit.

I don't care what the valuable-to-you item is. I travel for a living. I have learned my lesson. If something means something to you, pack it away.

Does the OP have their pillow? No. They don't. lol.

Your explanation is the most likely BUT not everyone takes the time to carefully proof their posts. Some posters assume others know what they mean

It is plausible a small kids blanket was put in an empty Disney pillow case and used as a pillow.

It's plausible housekeeping saw the pillowcase on the floor, picked it up and put it in the laundry cart.

Posters aren't giving the OP any real hope
Some blame the OP. I can understand no follow-up.

Your explanation is the most likely but it's plausible the OP found this forum via an internet search and is hoping for a magical solution.

Oh there's definitely no hope, of that I'm certain. Even if this went down 100% as described, she ain't seeing that blanket again unfortunately.
100%
No reason for the OP to post a follow-up. Either a troll or a poster who now lnows the chances of recovery is zero.

I may give the OP the benefit of the doubt, even though your explanation is more likely
