Please explain the Tiki Room

A sit down restaurant with the tiki birds was Walt’s original idea. This is a fun, seated, air conditioned attraction. You must experience it at least once. Who knows, these days it may be deemed racist for some (yet unknown) reason and will be forced to close.

Disneyland kind of went back to that original concept. Not in the attraction itself, but they opened up an outdoor "restaurant" called Tropical Hideaway behind the Tiki Room,right by the unloading area of the Jungle Cruise. The limited menu, though, makes it more of a snack bar with seating.

I could have spent an hour here just listening to the wonderful exotica background music.
