Excited to hopefully complete the final leg of booking for our upcoming January vacation by modifying our reservation to include a Stay Play Dine 2017 promotion.

Stay Play Dine is a roughly a $1,500 savings on our family of 5's 10-night stay.

Hope it's repeated for 2017

Play Stay Dine was released to Disney Visa holders on 09/24 last year

Yes! Unfortunately the Disney Visa isn't available to Canadians (I complain about this every year!) so I'm stuck waiting til the discount comes out to the public.

I'm in the same boat. I'd get one if I could.

MouseSavers.com says "This offer will become available to the general public on Monday, October 3". Obviously not official word, but they might have inside knowledge the rest of us don't.

I was just on the Disney website and couldn't search for dining reservations. I wonder if a bunch of people have booked and are now scrambling to secure reservations? It's a good reminder to book your dining now, and you can cancel if your plans end up changing.

Personally, I'm just looking for a room discount for January, which I can combine with the Canadian discount on park tickets.

It's official now- Disney has publicly advertised the date it will become available for the public

https://disneyrewards.com/offers/wdwq2roomsepfy16/

And this one can be booked as a room-only discount for January as well. There's the play/stay/dine package, as well as a winter room only offer.
Some people were talking pretty big money savings for Riverside. Surprised to see it's only 10%. Maybe it's more when you go for a PSD package, and 10% is for room only?

Well, we passed on Play, Stay, & Dine. Not the same as free dining of the past. We are going with my daughter & Son-in-law who is in the Navy & they rebooked us at French Quarter with the Military discount. Same price as the rack rate at POP. New resort for us so, we are excited!!

I think that the discount for Riverside is definitely bigger with the PSD package.

E.g. we were booked in Pop for 2/5 - 2/13 with an 8-day, single park ticket. Price was $2,450 for our preferred pool view.

We upgraded to Riverside since Pop had no availability with the PSD promotion. Non-discounted Riverside price was $4,364 and we got it for $3,750. So that's a savings of around $600 which I thought was great.

If we kept our Pop room and added dining it was $3,600, so with the promotion basically we got Riverside + dining for an extra $100.

Hope this helps!

That's a no brainer! Thanks for the reassurance. Bring on Monday!

I just called to make reservations for our trip from February 22-March 1,2017, at POP. I at least wanted to get our reservation in and hope to get in on the discount on Monday when I call back. But, surprise, they are already automatically applying the " GIFT OF MAGIC" room offer!!! Saved me over $300 for the two rooms that we needed. Phew (sigh of relief).

I'm not sure if they'll do it on existing reservations but he applied it to my new reservation and I didn't even ask anything about the upcoming discounts.

They do occasionally have special discounts that they give just to certain callers. It's sort of like a PIN code- fairly random, and not granted to very many people. That sounds like what happened here possibly! It doesn't happen often so that's pretty lucky :)

I would still call on Monday to check it against this discount and see which one is bigger for you. To compare, I had someone with a Disney Visa save $160 at a value for just 3 nights in late February. So for 7 nights, it's possible that you may end up saving more than the $150/room that you are currently saving @goldenears

Any luck? I was going to call first thing Monday but will try now if you got it.
Also, if you go to disneyworld.com/mytrip abd modify your reservation you can apply current discount offers without having to call in I believe. Tried it yesterday and said no current available offers. This might huh be easier than having to get through the phones tomorrow.
