Well to start with.Happy Mummy Day..With so many Disney celebration events like Easter,Halloween,Christmas, etc. Do you plan your own celebration party when you make that trip to the magic..In the past we've celebrated birthdays & anniversarys but most of all we plan a family special celebration where we always come up with new ideas like picking a character and getting a meet & greet with a photo taken. We always get pins ( badges ) at our resort shop and write our character names on them.Last year we had a daily trivia quiz as we strolled around the parks and as always my DS would win and pick a new pin for his lanyard. We also done a food celebration day where we would have a cupcake challenge..So we are starting to come up with new celebration ideas for our next vacation..So just curious as ever,do you plan celebration parties or ideas when you make your trip to WDW.?;)

I don't do anything like that, but my daughter is only 5. When she was 3-4 she used to get a new stuffed animal on each trip, which is also what I did as a child--she has wayyyy more stuffed animals than I ever did from Disney, lucky girl! We always come for birthdays and of course Not So Spooky & Very Merry. When we have a trip planned months in advance I try to do dining reservations, but some of the best trips are the ones where we wake up on Saturday morning and decide to just drive up for the weekend.

For Christmas, I had Mickey stockings ordered for my DH and I and surprised him in our room. And for his birthday, I ordered one of those Mickey celebrations in our room. We always get the pins for what we are celebrating and plan a special meal. So for our Anniversary, we ate dinner at CRT. For Valentine's Day, we made sure to get some special shots of us with the True Love week stuff and we both wore pink and got Valentine's sweets to share in the room later. If we are not officially celebrating anything, like in September trip, we wanted to make sure we did something we never did before. So we drank and ate around the world. Next time, cupcake tour!

It's funny...we've been with all of the Christmas decorations twice and MVMCP once, but we haven't really done anything out of the ordinary for the holidays while at WDW. I mean, I try and get a holiday pic and it never works out b/c nobody cooperates...but that's about it.

On the flip side, I love celebrating a bday :D DD6 got a surprise trip for her 5th bday and DD4 for her 4th...lots of special meals...special outfits...and of course, CAKE!!! Assuming plans don't fall through, we'll be there for MNSSHP in Sept, but bdays will again be the focus. I am still thinking up to 3 cakes...but we'll see.

At ADR time we sit down and discuss, there are 3 of us so we each gets to choose the location of 2 dinners, 1 breakfast and 1 lunch. We also each have to have a back up is case the first choice isn't available. Other than that there is no big celebration, my DS will come yup with his list of m"must see's" and I'll plan everything out.

We did a family photo with Buzz at his meet & greet on our last trip...11 of us... and late lunch/early dinner at T-Rex.

When we took the kids at Christmas, I brought a Christmas tree and some other festive things with us for our room.

We've always selected our outfits and theme for each day before packing.
