Planning for 2010

I'm sorry about I'm repeating this question but I searched and couldn't find the info I was looking for. Does anyone know when you can start booking your vacation for the following year? I just talked my husband into going back (we were there in August) and I want to book it ASAP so he can't change his mind, lol. I am looking into going the last week in January.

You can book a room only right now. You won't be able to make it a package till 2010's rates come out. I'd go ahead and book. I did last Sept for this Oct so my hubby couldn't change his mind either! lol

Definitely book ASAP! You won't get a firm 2010 rate, but you'll get a tentative rate and it'll reserve your spot. And then you can book your ADRs 90 days prior to the first day of your trip.

Packages have been coming out in August for the following year so I don't expect the new packages for 2010 to be out until then. Keep in mind that if you do book a room only reservation that you will have to rebook the package and cancel the room only reservation.

Book your room only now, so your husband can't back out :D
Then when the packages come out, you'll have your spot but you
can add on as you need to.

Park hours/EMH's/fireworks schedules only come out 3 months in advance now, so the detailed planning (if you do that like I do), can't be done as far in advance.

Just to clarify, you can't really "add on" to a room only reservation if you are wanting the whole Disney package. If you are wanting a package, you can book room-only now, but CRO will have to cancel it, refund the one-night's deposit, and re-book you as a package with yet another deposit when the 2010 packages come out (usually first week of August). They cannot transfer deposits.

However, if you are not interested in dining or any other package discounts that may come out, then you can add tickets to your room-only (which isn't really a package anyway).

This is correct.
