Planning ADR's on the website

Hello Everyone,

I am not sure this is the best place to put this thread but it is a planning question so I am going to put it here and hope it is in the right place.

I am trying to get reservations at Le Cellier for our trip in October, :brick: thus far with no luck. In order to check, I go on the Disney website and then go to the dining reservations and check each individual day that we are going to be there, and check lunch and dinner for each day.

If that makes sense?

At any rate, it means that I spend a lot of time inputting the same information in over and over again and it can be rather time consuming (not to mention frustrating) experience. :hammer:

Now, I know that I can call and solve the problem, but I like to check at really odd times, 2 am, 6 am, etc.. etc.. etc.. when the call centers just aren't open.

My question is, is there a way to check for an entire week, for ANY available time via the Disney website?

Thank you in advance

When they first started doing online dining, they did have an option to search a range of dates. But it looks like when they made changes to the system not too long ago they took it away...unless I just can't find it.

It was a very useful feature for me when I was planning our trip....not sure why they would do away with it.

They did have it but apparently removed it. I know how you feel - it's pretty annoying. The best thing I can say is that most likely people probably aren't thinking of canceling a Le Cellier reservation at 2 AM...so calling each day, in the morning and then in the evening might help. People might call before work, or as they're ending their day. Weekends, we checked all the time until we got something! Good luck!

Here's a bit of advice. The Table Service reservation system is a bit screwy because the computer (and the system used by the call center) will ONLY return a positive result if there is seating for the exact number in your part. For example, if you're looking for seating for a party of 2, and all of the two-person tables are booked, you'll get your request rejected, even if there are a number of four-person tables available. Try requesiting your table in different party sizes and you might have some luck. A party of four might be able to secure a 6-person table by saying they are traveling with 5 or 6. When you show up at the restaurant, they sure aren't going to turn you away because your party isn't the exact size you had said it would be.

I can't remember where I read it, but one of the sites I'd looked at some time ago said mid morning, mid afternoon, and after dinner (ET) are the best times to check for availability as these are the most logical times of day people will get a little bit of free time to cancel ADRs they don't want. I have yet to test it as portions of the Disney site don't come up on my work computer, but it made sense to me.

Le Cellier is nearly impossible to get. As a concierge I've gotten Cinderella's Royal Table more than I've gotten Le Cellier. Just keep trying and you never know what you may find. Speaking to a CM at Le Cellier they say if you go as a walk in right when they open for lunch or dinner there is a fairly good chance of them being able to accommodate you.
Oh, and we don't call them ADRs anymore. I had a guest ask for an ADR at Crystal Palace and told him that most of the newer CMs would have no idea what he was talking about. Just say reservations... :D

Le Cellier in October

Unfortunately, you have a couple of things working against you....the short amount of time between now and your trip and the Food and Wine festival is going on at that time. The crowd at Epcot during the F&W fest last year was just nuts, and that was a full week after Columbus day during a really bad economy.

I traveled to WDW last October during the festival and got lucky booking at the 120 day mark. Now that booking reservations is at the 180 day mark and has been for a while, that means they are probably just flat wiped out.

Try calling 1-407-wdw-dine. You may get lucky. try asking if they have anything open and if they do, shuffling your plans around that.

We're travelling the week after Labor Day and I had to hold off booking until mid June due to a job change. Unfortunately, I could neither get Chef Mickey's nor Le Cellier during our week at all, despite the fact that crowd levels should be low. On top of that, I couldn't get into the current restaraunt in Italy.

Next time I am going to try booking as close to the 180 day mark as I can to better ensure I'll get into Chef Mickey's & Le Cellier.

On the bright side, we're trying a couple of restaraunts this year that we haven't done like the Garden Grill.

Try calling too. We were looking for Akershus reservations for our next trip and the online system said no-dice but I called WDW-DINE up and had no troubles getting a table.

I find that system really annoying, but for some reason it works sometimes.

Just a heads up. Our new dining system does not show us if we have "anything open". It either shows us a matching reservation or an alternative. It's not like before when we would be like "I don't have anything at 5:00 but I have a 9:30". It looks in a general time range and if nothing matches then it doesn't show us the reservation. It also only shows us if a table matches your party size. It wasn't like before when it showed us all the table sizes available and we could cheat a little if we couldn't find a table for 4 by getting two 2-tops and tell you that you aren't guaranteed to be sitting together.
