Planet Hollywood DDP Voucher?

I have that too for my upcoming trip and I'm not exactly sure on what is good for either, but this is what the Disney site says:

New! Planet Hollywood® — Enjoy a select entree and non-alcoholic beverage at Planet Hollywood®(one per reservation, voucher required, tax included). Plus, receive a Planet Hollywood® keepsake (one per reservation, voucher required, must be redeemed between 11 am and 6 pm).

I'm then assuming we have to pick from certain entrees to use the voucher. .who knows. And I have no idea what this PH keepsake business is about either. I just planned to go see them totally clueless :)

Since we're arriving a day earlier than when our plan/hotel stay is taking effect, we'll probably use it then. Otherwise it seems kinda pointless, if you're already getting free food.

Not old, just vintage.
According to my PH Voucher that came with my travel docs:

You have the choice of any one of the following entrees:
- Any burger platter
- Caesar salad
- Pasta Pomodoro

You may also get one non-alcoholic beverage.

I havent a clue what the "keepsake" is but I would imagine it is probably pretty cheesy. I think PH was prob just hurting for business so they figured if they gave out free meals people would be more inclined to go there and spend money on things like alcohol, dessert, and other souvenirs.

This voucher is not new and has been in the packages since January...it is pretty much worthless and we threw them out before even going to WDW last time.

What exactly is it good for?

Food at Planet Hollywood. :hurl:

Really, it is a throw away. The place is official a dump. I went to check out the pleasure island construction a week or two ago and so i parked near it - it's just a mess from the outside. The paint and structure looks horrible, and decorative parts are literally all broken.

Years ago i went and tried the food, it was gross, i had heard it was gross, and the service was bad, but didn't beleive it until i went for myself. They've been trying to steer CMs here for years but word of mouth has kept them away. The place is just crap.

You'll be happier paying for a sandwich at the Earl of Sandwich.

It really is a throw away. I dont have any plans of going anywhere near PH, free food or otherwise. Personally, I think they should bulldoze it and build something else.....anything else.

Seems as if you either LIKE Planet Hollywood or you HATE it.
No gray areas I guess.
Personally my wife and I LOVE the place.
We have always gotten great food and good service.
We usually find a $10 off coupon which helps defray the costs.

btw...the "Keepsake" we got from PH was a Planet Hollywood Mouse pad.
It is in a drawer somewhere with the 10 or 12 other Complimentary gift Mousepads we have received from other Restaurants.:p

Was wondering the same thing about these vouchers so did a search and found this thread. Teenage daughter really wants to check it out; we've got all our sit-down meals covered on the dining plan, so I told her we would use our voucher on our last night when we do our last minute shopping. I guess if I can get away with spending $20 or so for dinner for the two of us, it not's too bad of a deal. Probably won't get to use the merchandise voucher; not planning on getting there that early in the evening.

One more thing, so you think I should call for reservations now, or will we be OK waiting to call a couple days beforehand when we're already down there?
I'm thinking 7-8ish on a Sunday night.....

Couldn't agree with you more.

We love PH as well - we have had some of the best service and food here.

The desserts are outstanding!
