I like how that is all caps. This weekend we went camping and forgot tylenol. I said "It's just a day I don't think she's going to get sick overnight." She started getting a few teeth though.....wish we had that tylenol.

Don't forget the benadryl. :snore:

Also, we've found that we need ziplock bags for EVERYTHING. I take multiple sizes.

I go ahead and portion out all our vitamins/supplements and put them in snack size baggies, one for each day. That way I can just grab it as I'm heading out the door and dish out on the bus/boat.

VIA Starbucks instant coffee...a lifesaver.

Suitcase full of water? Are you driving?:)

Agree $1 ponchos

Our extra suitcase is filled with swimming stuff, practically the entire medicine cabinet.

Benadryl is a GOOD one...life saver when kids were small, especially our son who had allergies.

Also responding to " Luggage full of water? Did you drive?" No why ask that? AND had an empty luggage for gifts home.

We bring pretty much the same...although I always bring a pop up clothes hamper and extra hangers...I don't like a messy room.

Never thought of this one...that's a good one..

Last year when we took our 9 month old I actually MAILED a box of stuff to the hotel..I didn't want to pay for a suitcase of just stuff we might (or did) need..like formula, diapers, wipes, jarred food, cups and so on..well since I was already sending the box we decided to fill it up...TYLENOL, sun screen, and so on...it was pretty nice..shipping was $25.00 and it was there waiting for me..that was one suitcase I didn't have to pay for..especially since he is a lap rider

Ive thought about sending a box ahead of time...never have YET...we have sent a box home though....was nice to get home and find all of our souvenirs waiting for us to go through and relive the trip! Im not really an "over" packer, but I do go over lists before we leave to make sure I have the important stuff!

Last trip was a family reunion, so I sent a box of all the family t-shirts ahead of time to CR. Picked it up in the business center in the conference center after we checked in. First night was Chef Mickeys for dinner with everyone there so I could distribute all the shirts then. No way I was gonna pack 35 shirts in my luggage.

Really?? Water? Can't you just use one of the snack options (if you do the dining plan) buy a bottle of water and just refill it at the water fountains??

:hurl: Depending on where you come from, the water out of the fountains in Central Florida is downright undrinkable. I've never gone so far as to actually pack my OWN water, but we either rent a car and get it at the grocery store or use Garden Grocer.

I have a question for those of you who ship a box of stuff down...do you also ship it back at the end of your trip, or do you consolidate the stuff from it into your regular suitcases?

The stuff that I shipped down was all useable stuff that we wouldn't be bringing back..formula, jars of baby food, I bought all disposable bibs, throw away spoons and sippy cups, diapers, wipes..those kind of things..I ended up adding the sunblock and little things like that, but that was minor and yes those little things we just brought back...I do know that some people bring a self addressed, prepaid box with them to ship home..just leave it with the hotel and they will drop it in the mail for you..the if it fits, it ships ones from the post office works great..we ended up buying extra luggage..i know sounds funny, but the hotel store had a sale on a small three piece luggage set for $12.95..couldn't beat it...

I guess I'm just an old 11-B (infantry) I travel light and don't pack much small stuff except for a small First Aid kit I put together and fits in a pocket. That way if we are in a park and need aspirin, a band aid or pepto bismol I have it.

Well I used to pack light..now with 2 kiddos I have to pack ALOT..lol..:ROFLOL:..Especially when my son used to eat jar food..that would mean all extra things..when we head to the parks we also bring my 67 year old dad, so I make sure to bring extra things he might need also..but you are talking at least two full sets of clothes per kid..hee hee hee...wow, gone are the days when hubby and I would grab our ph, driver license, and credit card and head out...even skipping the bag line...sigh...oh well, I wouldn't trade it for the world

Suntan lotion. I have been going in December for the last 6 years. This year we went in April. I was very red by the end of the 1st day. Disney's price for suntan lotion is very high.

I start making a Travel List about 3 months out. Every time I use something that may be needed/useful, I put it on the list (things you often don't think about like fingernail clippers, extra batteries, sun block). Also, I usually make 5 pounds of beef jerky and my wife makes a big bag of Trail Mix with all our favorites. I carry a back pack that has a section that holds ice to keep water cold and goodies from melting. It's a real life saver.

After 30 years of marriage (and because my wife forgot a few things on the Honeymoon), we have very rarely needed an item that we didn't have with us.
