PizzeRizzo announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios - Was: Rumor: Pizza Planet/Mama Melrose closing?

You know what's funny?
Unfortunately, it's just a QuickServe. They normally don't get any big theming besides decoration.

Would love to see authentic NY style pizza there though. It's not like you can't make a good profit off of it.

How quickly can they cook those kind of pies would be the question. Would they be able to keep up with how busy the place will be? And how much would this raise the price?

Now, that is definitely definitely definitely not to say they could not improve on what they are currently serving. They definitely should do that. Disappointed that's not the case.

Well, you "simply" keep adding ovens taking over dining space until the pizza output is equal to dining space demand.

It's themed after Rizzo's food service in Muppets Take Manhattan, not after the section of the park it's in.

Rizzo doesn't have a food service in the film, unless you're referring to Pete' Luncheonette, which Rizzo is a waiter at. I think the restaurant is more of a reference to the fact Rizzo is from New York.

It's odd, because the whole Muppet area was built to blend in with the Streets of America in the first place.

If only the pizza represented New York pizza...
I'm sure that would make all New York guest wet their collective pants, however, New York is not the only place on the planet and there are many people that think NY Pizza is cardboard with red sauce on it. So, it can look like a Pizzeria that one might find in NY, but, if they want more people to buy it, besides New Yorker's that is, then it has to be more generic in nature. That doesn't mean bad, just not a clone of a specific areas tastes. This is food not a dark ride. Plus the walls are covered with pictures of Muppet characters. What else does anyone suggest it do to follow the theme. The only thing close would be the Swedish Chef and Pizza would probably not be his specialty in a place run by Rizzo.

Yikes...

I'd not want to purposefully eat at this restaurant. I ate at Pizza Planet last year and thought that needed improvement.

But this is..hard to describe...I guess dull?

And can someone explain the decoration of the banquet room? What is the significance of the black line markings on the windows? I realize the room is supposed to be a stereotypical dancing/banquet room found in 70s/80s Italian restaurants or catering halls. But what's up with those windows?

Ground floor of PizzeRizzo. Stairs brightly lit so you remember it's an option if you don't find table ahead.

Wow. That first pic is awesome. Kudos to WDI!

Inside the magic has more details on the soft opening...And yes..It's the same dull Pizza Planet pizza we all know and loathe....http://www./2016/11/muppet-themed-r...at-walt-disney-world-with-subtly-fun-details/
Well that was a waste of waiting 10 months for. The inside is a much needed improvement, but the fact that its still the same $#*+ pizza nearly ruins the whole thing.

That banquet room is a trip. Almost could double as a torture device.

I'd be shocked if that isn't toned down in the very near future. Just WAY too trippy with the frenetic lighting and different colors.

Interesting... the article says more Muppet details will be added in the coming weeks.

That seems to be par for the course these days with shop and restaurant openings (also, let's all remember that it is in soft opening, which would indicate it's not quite done yet). I think it overall looks fine now, but a few more knick knacks on the walls can't hurt and would be welcome.

Yep and I guess they wanted it re-opened before Thanksgiving, so this gives the cast a few days to get up to speed before it gets busy, but the designers can still tweek the details at night.
