Pixar Pals Parking Structure Specifics/Updates

Hopefully this image will better show what we are thinking based on the construction pictures & videos and concept art released by Disney in relation to the elevators and tram route for loading. If you look at the concept art showing the plaza in front of Cleo and you focus on the right side it looks like plaza goes all the way up to the garage which makes us think the loading will be under the garage not in front of it.

Looks good, but the elevators are probably just a quarter inch over, where the letters ORS are instead of in the bridge area.

As the bridge doesn't exist on level 4 or 6.

I'm just now realizing how visible Cleo will likely be from inside the park.

Crazy that the structure still hasn't been obscured from inside the park, and incredibly disheartening that Disney's making the visual intrusion worse.

But I guess that's what this summer's been: An assault on all the little touches that make Disneyland special.

You can see Cleo from the park right now?

SW:GE should obscure most if not all of the visuals of both M&F and Cleo. Even now, and correct me if I'm wrong, but M&F is now blocked by most of the rock from SW:GE.

I haven't been in a couple months, but I don't remember it being visible.

But since it's right next to Mickey and Friends, I'm speculating that it might end up being visible.

I don’t think it will be. As it stands I think you only see the 5th and 6th levels of MnF from the ROA between Right near Riverbelle. I’m sure you can also see it from the third level of the Mark Twain and when on Splash Mountain before the first drop into the mountain. I don’t think you can see it anymore from ground level in Critter Country can you?

Also Cleo is set further west from the other structure. I personally haven't looked recently myself, but if it is just the upper corner of Mickey and friends visible, I would say that Cleo may not be visible due to where it sits.

There's really only one 'problem spot' left that anything can be viewed through reliably. The Battle Escape attraction being more than high enough to block out nearly anything...

Of course this is still better than it was a few months back, but that one section of berm trees could be a bit taller, IMHO.

By next year those trees should be starting to get tall enough. I have a feeling that is why they also are relocating some of the taller trees from around the resort to SW:GE.

you shouldnt be able to see Cleo from park. the walkways in the west side of park are very close to the themed buildings and showroom.

the reaaon you see part of Mickey and Friends is because its further northand you have a longer view as you stand on south end if river and look north thru the river opening

If there is one area I don’t mind them moving trees is Pixar Pier. The last thing I think of when I think of Piers are trees. By all means put them all in Disneyland. I’d rather have them near the ROA/ berm anyway.

New footage!!

It's interesting how they are building the concrete wall along the front of the garage so tall, much taller than just a handrail with only about 2 feet at the top for air circulation

I'd assume this is being done for security reasons so no bad people can use it as a perch to do bad things to the security station below.

What concerns me is the matter of light pollution. The original structure was mostly visible at night thanks to glaring exterior lighting. Though perhaps the proximity you mentioned will keep this from being a problem.

I took a couple shots on Saturday morning.

I think the plaza area is gonna be bigger than we realize...

Taken by the “bridge” connecting the two structures on the 3rd levels.

Nice shots. They are really moving along. I really anticipate this being close to done either by the end of the year or just after the new year. With opening set around February/March.

I'm still of the opinion for now that security screening will be in the "plaza" area as you call it. Which is going to need a lot more room if the rumors of x-ray machines being added to guest screening next year is true. And then loading right inside the lower portion of Cleo. But that is just my opinion for now, no need to debate it.
