We've got a situation where the purse strings are loosened and money is flowing into the parks, but the people selecting what is going into the parks are making bad decisions because they don't know and love the parks. On paper all these things for DL/WDW make sense to someone who has never actually spent 15 minutes inside DCA, Epcot, etc. or has any interest in themed design as a medium or art form.

This post sums up why I wish the parks division would stop using Lasseter as a poster boy for these new projects. I get that the dude might care about the parks, but all he really contributes is adding characters he had a huge hand of creating. The man's a creative genius and is excellent in creating great stories and characters, but I'm not a fan of seeing the parks turn into a giant Pixar advertisement.

I know Baxter isn't without his faults, but the man cares more about the parks then just about anyone, and really seems to understand what makes Disneyland great. I'd love to see him become more active in the creative process for these new additions.

Still really curious to see what they do with Mickeys Fun Wheel. I went to the park yesterday and my almost 2 year old son kept seeing it and saying "keyyyyy".... wanting to walk towards it like it was some sort of beacon. I'm pretty sure the Pixar lamp or a bunch of smaller (in size and stature) Pixar characters would not have the same pull. In addition, I can't go on reddit/ fb/ instagram without seeing 100 pictures of it everyday.

The darn thing just works. Silly to change it really. Especially for something like this.
Awwww keyyyyy

Do any of them have raging alcohol or drug problems?
