The Disney Parks Blog has announced that Pixar Fest begins April 13, 2018, and with this news they also announced that the latest Disneyland park nighttime spectacular will be, fittingly, a celebration of Pixar: “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular”. The show will include Buzz Lightyear flying over Sleeping Beauty Castle and a setup that looks suspiciously like Disneyland Forever.

I promise I'm not kidding.

From the article:

The Pixar Shorts film festival will feature rotating favorites such as “For the Birds” and “Lava” at the Sunset Showcase Theater in Hollywood Land in Disney California Adventure park throughout most of Pixar Fest. The Paradise Gardens area will feature a new Pixar-themed musical troupe along with Pixar character greeting opportunities as well as crafts and activities for our younger guests.

Pixar Pier was supposed to have a theater, was it not? If that was still on the table, wouldn't they be placing the Pixar Shorts film festival there rather than Hollywood Land? Further, they clearly address Paradise Gardens getting Pixar character meet n greets yet nothing else related to changes in Paradise Pier. While maybe Pixar Pier isn't off the drawing table, I believe, more than ever, we're likely to see Pixar Pier become a tempoary change at best.

I saw this on Twitter, can anyone confirm if it’s real? Because if it is, then I’m excited!

Nice to have fireworks and two parades confirmed to be starting just before our first trip to Disneyland, but still waiting for Pixar Pier information as well.

I would have thought that there may have been a paragraph along the lines of "Opening later in the festival, experience incredible speed on Dash's Speed Coaster. In order for us to create this brand new attraction, California Screamin' will be closing in December 2017. More information on Dash's Speed Coaster, and the already announced Pixar Pier will be released over the coming months."

Shouldn't December refurbishments be announced over the next couple of weeks?

Also, even through they are limited time fireworks, I am assuming that they will more than likely still be weekend only?

Literally the worst. Also L O L that PTN starts six months from now and the Frozen float replacement won’t be ready until “later in the year.” Sorry TDA, but y’all are *bad at this*

That parade hasn't ran in a year or so. Not having it running at 100% when they bring it to DCA, from the get go, is a bit ridiculous, there's really no excuse.
