Pitch A Disney Attraction

Gitson Shiggles

There was me, that is Mickey, and my three droogs
A dark ride where riders are in limousines. A creepy puppet Bob Iger instructs riders they need to hurry to an acquisition deal, otherwise the other party in the deal will back out. Along the way, animatronic Disney purists will try to slow guests down by hurling Waltisms.

I thought this would be a fun topic. What is your pitch for a new Disney attraction? Could be based after an IP or an original concept.
I was thinking of doing a Wanda vision attraction I even have a concept for it in the link below. this should either take place in Wanda's mind or before Westview closed, it follows the story of a sword agent being sent to Westview to spy on Wanda when they come face to face with everyone, vision is there to guide everyone and calm Wanda down. I was thinking of doing a V.r experience with this or doing a type of motion vehicle.

I know it’s a pipe dream, but Disney buys the rights to the original “Willie Wonka” from Paramount/CBS and develops a dark ride similar to PotC sailing thru a chocolate River to the shrinking room to the everlasting gobstopper room…the PotC water already LOOKS like chocolate, it would need the scent changed (lol) but I think it would work…only problem, it’s probably out dated, and the Charlie version had our buddy Mr. Depp…

Back when I used to frequent malls I remember people would all gather around shoppers showing off their stuff and competing in front of “Just Dance” style screens. No idea how that technology works but this was maybe ten years ago so it wasn’t anything that would be cutting edge in 2022. So those as people eaters in various spots… so many classic dances from Disney films they could use. I wanna see people having an Encanto or Turning Red dance off!

Also, as the mom of a toddler I think they need way more trucks and trains content, ha ha. Just pull every vehicle ever shown in the background of a Disney film and make it a dark ride + play area made in the style of Digger Land… I mean ok, that doesn’t have anything to do with Disney, but it’s what my kid would want to see, so it gets my vote!

Love when someone does a Google search, finds something randomly that's 4 years old, then signs up to the webpage and revives that dead thread. 🤣🤣🤣

I don't think it matters for threads like this - creating would-be rides is a fun exercise at any point in time. Where I have the "Doh!" moments is when I start sending someone advice on where to book a stroller or how to travel with a toddler, only to look at the date on the thread and realize that the kid is in middle school now and someone randomly revived said thread anyways, ha ha. That I never understand - like why say "Huh, a thread from 2012 asking for advice on changing diapers on the go... I am here for you, poster!!" 😂

I have one that would make a lot of people happy. Take the Tomorrowland Speedway and make it into the Mr. Toad's Motorcar Road Tour. It could go through all the set pieces from the movie like Toad Hall, the countryside, the court and jail, maybe even have a section dedicated to Ichabod and the Headless Horseman. Toad and Cyril. Toad and Cyril could narrate as you drive past the different things cracking jokes(maybe the dialogue is different in every car for reride ability). When the horseman comes out they could say something like "Toady hit the gas, he's after us". The kids could still stear the cars along the track but speed would be done automatically.
Toad and speedway fans can both be happy. And yes I get Toad is a fantasyland guy but the speedway is kinda on the edge so no reason it cant give some land to fantasy here.

Back when it was MGM Studios, I dreamed of a James Bond E-ticket dark ride. The queue would be a labyrinth of rooms each dedicated to one of the iconic opening credit and title song sequences.

I'm just gonna post the link to that Muppets dark ride I pitched in 2020.

For those that don't want to read the whole thing, it's sort of like Peter Pan's Flight meets Roger Rabbit's Car-Toon Spin. The idea is that Gonzo has set up a "Daredevil Academy" and we're his students. In the queue there's an animatronic Gonzo giving us some exposition, saying that today we're going to learn how to ride rockets. We get in the rockets and they send us flying all over the Muppets studio, wreaking havoc in rooms like Muppet Labs, the Swedish Chef's kitchen, the Electric Mayhem's recording studio, etc. encountering the other Muppets along the way. As we pull into the unload area, we see Kermit yelling at Gonzo for doing something so incredibly dangerous.

KUZCO'S FALLS
A dark water ride based on Emperor's New Groove. Your boat starts in the palace, where Kuzco sends you away for daring to ask something of him, round a corner into another room where Yzma and Kronk are plotting to kill the emperor.
A drop takes you into Yzma's Laboratory where she is choosing potions from her vast cabinets and laughing maniacally, round a corner into Kronks kitchen where he's making spinach puffs and humming (cue the food smells).
As you pass through the steam of the oven you are met with a big drop out of the palace on one of the waterfalls with Llama Kuzco by your side.
The boat lands in a jungle where alligators snap at the boat, and big black panthers chase alongside.
Up a lift hill past Pachas home where his kids are arguing, you see Yzma and Kronk climbing the hill below.
Up another lift hill into Yzma's lab where she is turned into the cat. She reaches out for you just as you take the final drop into Kuzcotopia below, seeing Kuzco, Pacha and family having fun together and Kronk in the background chatting with squirrels.

Interesting concept! I'm picturing a Pooh's Trackless Hunny Hunt type ride with your theme of course, but maybe a quicker ride that's a little out of control? That would be fun!

Ok, I recently saw ads for an immersive restaurant called Whimsy and had to come back to this thread to say I think Disney needs to do this. Same concept but with Disney characters? I am ridiculously in love with this idea:

A black box warehouse ride with trackless ride vehicles. The attraction would change every 6ish months. These vehicles could jump (or illusion of jumping) duck rotate and go anywhere in the building. Every 6ish months you would have a new ride with little downtime. So there wouldnt be any animatronics (im sad too) but would have changeable set pieces and the screen tunnels kind of like the stage craft. This would give us a new ride every 6 monthish and also give life to lesser known ips or movies coming out. So fox and the hound you could run through the forest, or walle looking for greenery or the rescuers

earth to ned.. an animatronic ned with a cohost and a complete set he would talk to a guest (whatever movie or show disney is pushing) and maybe interact with the audience. Think johnny carson with a cool animatronic and pushing the newest disney ip. You could change the show often or even have a few shows at once so that it wouldnt grow stale.

An omnimover that takes you slowly past screens of every Disney/Pixar/Marvel(with exceptions)/Star Wars IP ever used. Gift shop at the end. Undoubtedly would get approved.
