I've always found that having two opposite sides to load the boats can create a short wait for those who take the side that few are going towards (most follow the leader when initially queing up, unless a CM says something). This also means that quite a few boats do leave the station without passengers. Would be much better if there was one side for loading, IMO.

The whole thing sounds kinda far fetched. This whole concept sounds like something that could take like 2 years to complete. They would have to gut the whole front of the building because there is no room for people to return to the load area in the boats due to the queue being above it. and the ramp from unload to load is way to steep to handle guests.

I hope they leave the ride as it is. Some classics should be left alone. This is my favorite ride. Walt Disney was around durning the construction of this ride. It is his ride, I don't think it should be touched. The idea is great & it would look cool. This ride is a classic!!!

The Florida version? Nope, Walt had died well before a WDW PotC was even thought about.
