Pirates refurb dates released

It being the same would jive with Disney's cut and paste approach- building exact replicas of lands and attractions in separate parks. I don't see them spending the money to develop two different scenes, when it's far cheaper to just put the same audio in both rides, and build double of the new set pieces and animatronics.
My thoughts exactly. If they're not even going to try the east coast vs. west coast difference with SWL, why would they on a much more minor change like this? Cut, copy, paste, move on.
That refurb length would be consistent with WDW's. I think theirs was down for about the same amount time.

I'm still hopeful it'll be different enough to be acceptable. And if its exactly the same right down to the voice track and the same face, then so be it.

I can’t remember to what extent we discussed this, but a commenter on Micechat this morning confirmed he saw a Fastpass scanner installed at Pirates, so get ready for that, I guess...

Knotts Berry Farm has a version of a Fast Pass called Fast Lane. For $65 you get a wrist band that lets you board any ride without waiting. No tickets and no coming back later. If I want to ride Hang Time, I just enter the Fast Lane line and I'm on the ride in less than five minutes no matter how long the regular line is. However it's strange because I never see anyone with these wrist bands.

Over at Magic Mountain they have The Flash Pass which is a stop watch looking thing. You select the ride you want and it tells you the time to come back. They have three levels for it. Regular that is as long as the regular line for $45. Gold for $75 for half the wait time and Platinum for $120 for 90% faster than regular line. I see these used rarely even during busy days.

At these prices, I can see Disney charging $200 for daily Maxipass and people will pay it.

I have incredibly good luck when it comes to crowds. The only place I ever feel them is in New Orleans Square around Rivers of America and Tomorrowland's bottleneck entrance.

I've long been a firm believer that the excessive crowding is blown way out of proportion online. Whenever I go, the park is usually busy, but it's also bearable and pleasant. Yes, things get a little hectic during the parades, fireworks, and Fantasmic- but the attractions and food are usually very accessible and the other people don't limit my enjoyment.

Its trying to traverse from one end of the park to another during the parade, fireworks, etc, that is the major issue. That of course is when the park is most crowded due to everyone being is one of two locations.

@GiveMeTheMusic hinted at a possible removal of a (the?) waterfall in the Pirates caves in another thread. Is this something we are supposed to not like? What is the waterfall in question? Curious on everyone’s thoughts.
