What's everything going to look like when these dividers are removed from the queues, ride vehicles, etc. Not pretty. Bolts and drill holes and whatever else.

No way COVID can make it over those walls.
The greatest concentration of a potent viral load IE: Spit) will sooner hit the wall and stop before it travels up and over them and makes contact with a guest intact.

Any aerosols that travel around it are likely to dissipate enough while traveling before reaching a guest, and likely won’t be potent enough to infect.

I’m not sure about these specific ones but a lot of them are attached to existing railing using u-bolts, so they’re not bolted or screwed into an existing, permanent structure.

That's what the masks are for. That's the ONLY thing these cheap cloth masks do.

That's what Masks AND Social Distancing are for - you need them both to maximize effectiveness. Unless you're able to put walls between guests.

Without these panels guests have to distance from others in every direction, but with them they need only distance from the guests in front of and behind them on line.

This lets Disney use much more queue space, instead of having to leave a lane empty between guests like they did before, which cut usable switchbacks in half.

Also, let's not pretend guests are perfect with masks in the depths of the switchbacks. You know people sneak them on and off for a quick moment thinking no CM is gonna notice.

Don't need both. Cloth/paper masks are a last resort when you can't distance. If you can distance and/or have barriers -- the masks are no longer effective. But that discussion is for a different thread.

At one point they were saying that the airborne virus particles can travel 15 to 20'....So unless you are distancing more than that, I would say the masks are the better way to go... Especially around children that are not getting vaccinated... and People that are not getting vaccinated.

As we learn more about how the virus is transmitted, protocols can be adjusted. As case numbers go down - hopefully, protocols will also be adjusted. I'm fine with WDW taking a cautious approach in the short term.
