The thing is one could postpone until the cows come home. There is no guarantee that any ride will be functioning on the day that one happens to go there. I brought a friend there a few years back because she wanted to see HM. So did I for that matter, but, as luck would have it, they were having mechanical difficulties the only day that we were scheduled to be in MK. I felt bad, but, it really didn't define my overall trip, just a minor disappointment.
My biggest disappointment ever was at HM during my first and only visit to Disneyland. I really wanted to see the difference, if any, between DL's HM and WDW's HM. The weeks before I got there it was shut down to do the cheesy overlay for Nightmare before Christmas. That was one closure that just wasn't necessary, but, none the less I had the distinct displeasure of riding through that cardboard cutout mess instead of the good ole HM.
Yes, I know many people do. But for those of us that have one shot at seeing the original, it wasn't all that inspiring. Minor disappointment, I will agree, but, a disappointment none the less.Awww, I like that cardboard cutout!!
I just heard a rumor that my favorite attraction, Pirates of the Caribbean, has closed for the entire summer. Is this true. If so, why would they choose the busiest season, summer, for refurbishments. What are they adding if anything? If true, I will delay my trip.
