Wow, is the Pirates League at the MK really that popular?? I can't get my little guy a reservation :(

I'm hanging in there though...keep calling back every couple of days to see if anyone cancels. Hope persistence pays off!

Don't know, but my son and I did it this past May and it was a truly great experience and well worth the cost. Keep trying to get in and try to take as many pics as possible.

I had the same problem last year, but it was super easy to get a walk in after we were in the park.....my daughter LOVED it....even more so than the BBB....and she got way more compliments as a pirate than a princess! I hope you get in, it was a blast!

What date are you trying to get? I'm thinking about doing this before the 09/27 MNSSHP and would like to know if it's really hard to get an appointment or not.

I'm not sure but I would imagine that nights that have MNSSHP are going to be harder to get in because children want to be dressed up for the party. Again, not sure but just speculating. My advice, make your reservations ASAP.

I have to imagine it is pretty popular. We saw quite a few dads and sons as Pirates back in early July. I think the skeleton ones are great.

I think a big draw to it is parents can pay the base price (29.95) and still feel like their child got their money's worth. I've never done or experienced BBB first hand but I did see quite a few boys around with the basic PL package and no extra costuming.
edit: Just looked into it. PL is only 29.95 and that is for everything but the really ornate costumes (guests get a bandanna and sword in the base price) where as BBB is 49.95 for the minimum package. PL seems like a much better deal imo.

Like one other person said depending on the day it may be easy to get a walk up. Disney is smart and will probably have one or two cast members who are walk ups only. That way 2 or 3 can do the reservations and then 1 or 2 others can take care of kids that found out about the service on the bus ride or from seeing others in the park. It wouldn't be smart to make it a by reservation only service although reservations are "highly suggested". I think the only times that might have walk up issues would be right before MNSSHP starts so if you want the costume for that I would say go as soon as they let you in the parks.

We did it when it first opened and loved it, however it took FOREVER. Maybe it's better now but we spent almost 2 hours by the time we waited our turn (we had an appointment time and still waited almost an hour before we got started) and went through the whole process. It's neat, but I'm not sure I'd want to spend 2 hours of park time that way again. Hopefully it's not that way anymore.

Hi  Trying to get a ressie for Monday, Sept 26. And we're also going to MNSSHP but on the 23rd. I'd start calling NOW! So far, no luck for me.

Have fun!

I've read reviews saying something similar, but others saying they got in pretty soon after thier reserved time. I guess it's all up to however busy it is at the time.

I've been trying to get reservations for October 2 which is one of the nights of the Halloween party and have come up completely empty so far. I noticed back in 2009 that Disney extended the hours of the Pirates League on nights when the party was going on, but couldn't find anywhere that they did this in 2010. Does anyone know if this might be a regular thing by chance?

It was done in 2010 acording to the park maps. When I last called about PL they hadn't uploaded the times for the parties yet and the person I talked to didn't know when they would.

We are also going to MNSSHP on Sept 23. I got reservation for my son but the best I could do was 11:00 am on the 23rd and I made these reservations at my 180 day mark. It must be very popular to have been that booked up that far out. My son has never done this before so it was a must do. Good luck!! See you at the party!!
