Pirates Evac'd / Pirates Merch Closed / RCFD responding

I find it funny that guests get so nosy into Disney's buisness about what happened and presume its the worst, even if they are in the park or not, when tbh it really isn't anyone's buisness whatsoever. The downtime was most likely caused by a fire alarm that went off and to be safe they decided to inspect the issue. Not every downtime is a death or ride malfunction.

This is why traffic jams are caused be fender benders. Goulish curiosity.

And, we all have it, at least most people do.

The Sparrow game went 101 at the same time (because you need access to the store, one assumes). My bad luck that I was flitting by at that exact moment to play the game.

I would have guessed a power outage in the area, except that Splash was running just fine, so yes, an emergency in the PotC/shop intersection seems the most likely cause.

Was on yesterday when the ride was Evac'd but thankfully we were right at the end. Had a great day but POTC was the biggest disappointment.

Considering it has been refurbed relatively recently I thought it was shabby. The smoke scene with Barbosa was messy and you couldn't tell it was him, the audio was difficult to hear throughout, the water cannons worked but I seem to remember the water going higher and a few AA's weren't working.

Very concerning given it was one of my favourite's at MK, hope it was just a one off but it was the poorest show of the day for my group.

Still wondering what actually happened?
When we were there June 9-14, some idiot stood up on Barnstormer & they stopped the ride right at the top. RCFD had to escort the guests down and they weren't sure when it would reopen.:(

Last year, we got stuck on the ride and was evac'd. Castmembers came out in waders and had to move each boat to a safe place for us to disembark. We were escorted out of the building and along a sidewalk backstage, being watch continually. When we reached the inside of the park, we were handed fastpasses for any ride. I was telling someone who I was sitting next to on the ride this year and, guess what happened. We got stuck right under the fog machine. This time, we all had to lean to the left and then the right, rocking the boat until we freed ourselves. Our boat was overweight and leaned to one side throughout the ride.

...and when some guests get wet by those cannons, they expect Disney to replace their whole wardrobe.
Brings to mind we always requested front row on our last trip. On one of the times my niece and daughter ducked down as we went down the falls. The lady behind us complained half the ride because some water flew over the girls and she got a little wet. Her husband told her to shut up during the redhead scene.:D
