Pirate and Princess Party

Hey Folks,

I just noticed that DLRP is going to be hosting a Pirate and Princess Party this summer...no doubt in coordination with the world wide release of POTC: On Stranger Tides.

Taken in consideration with the release of the movie here in the states, the release of 'pirate princess' merchandise in the parks and the significant popularity of the new Disney Jr show, Jake and the Neverland Pirates.....

Do any of you feel that the Pirate and Princess Party could make it back to WDW for 2012?

I think the P&P parties taught Disney the limits of hard ticket events. You can't just make up something and expect people to pay extra for it. X-mas and Halloween are events people will plan a vacation around. They want to celebrate them in the parks and will pay extra if the event is worthwhile.

But Pirates and Princesses, while popular franchises, aren't something people will base a trip around. At least, not at an added expense. If they were free like the Food and Wine or Flower and Garden Festivals, they would be huge.

It is a shame too because IMHO P&P was the best of the bunch. The fireworks were the best I have ever seen in MK, The parade was a bit on the small side but had huge potential, the character meets and greets were incredible and the special events were so much better than the typical "dance parties" we now see popping up in every vacant space.
