I assume it's because everyone expected the movie to bomb. They didn't want to put too much capital into merchandise and tie-ins and then be left holding the bag if no one went to see the movie. We looked at the soundtrack at FYE before the movie tonight but my copy from Amazon isn't here yet. It should make it in a couple of days, and I payed almost half the price at Amazon that I would have at FYE (12.49 vs. 21.39). All the stores with decent prices around here still don't have it.

And wsapooh, I picked up an extra word or two tonight & when I have some more time I'll edit the earlier post, but I still can't understand most of what I'm missing there. When I get it finished I'll post it somewhere on the web so people can read it.

And tonight's viewing was time #11! I'm already up to a free popcorn on my theatre's frequent viewer program, and they didn't start the cards until after my 7th show!

lol....no, you can be *sure* they'll have plenty of DVDs around by the time December rolls up. Now they *know* it's a hit, they won't waste time making as much money as possible on it when DVD release time comes. (And maybe some McD's toys? Please?? An action figure? Anything???)

My soundtrack *finally* arrived...about 20 minutes ago! I'm listening to it now. Makes me feel a little better about having to wait a week for time #12....

Do you have a free pass for the movies? How much does the ticket cost? Like $7? Let´s see... 11 times 7 makes $77 dollars.... what I would do with them! :animwink:

I finally went to see it on Wednesday... loved it, but I think I would only see it one more time, then probably wait for the dvd to buy it. :animwink:

How many times did you see Titanic? I have a friend who saw it 10 times... I could barely stand it ONCE! :lol: :animwink:

For $9usd ($90 pesos) here you get the VIP theater where you are sitting or better said, resting in leather recliners (LayZ boys) and a waiter comes to bring your order from the cafeteria -sushi, pizzas, sandwiches, etc.) to your little table next to you. Very nice...

Regular theaters (stadium seating) cost less than $4usd and wednesdays is half price day.

Yep, $9 bucks in Chicago too... and with Kev and I going that's $18 a pop! I dragged him t see LofR: The Two Towers will me 7 times... that's $126 bucks!! Plus we usually get about $15 bucks worth of popcorn and stuff, so... well I was told that was enough money to spend on it

9.25 for us too but we might get a Loews theater and the prices are only 8.25. it's 6 for matinees. I saw it twice-one matinee and one nite

I don't think I could handle $9.25 per show. >_< Luckily for me, I get the student rate down here of $5. Normally though it's $7. I've seen the movie 5 times thus far, which means I've only spent $25. I don't know when I'll get to see the movie again. With any luck, I'll get to see it again sometime within the next week. And hopefully *crosses fingers* I'll be ordering my soundtrack tonight!

Yay! You ordered the soundtrack! Good thing, since the Walmarts *still* don't have it.

As for my spending, 4 of my showings were at $5 (two matinees and two times a really nice theatre-guy gave me a student rate--out of pity, possibly ), so I think I'm at $69. And yeah, that would have bought me something nice, but it's brought me so much enjoyment. No regrets.

Yep! I finally ordered it! Unfortunately though, the discount had to be used by Thursday. But I did get it. With anyluck, it'll come in on Monday! heh

Oh, and I realized that I have actually spent $32 on the movie, cause I paid $7 for my mom when she went.

I just saw it for the first time tonight. Wow, what a great movie. Also, Keira Knightley, wow she's hot. I gotta see it more though. It was so much better than I thought it would be...Keira just made it perfect.:animwink:
