Pictures with the Disney Characters

Hey! I'm going to Disney in about 2 weeks and I want to get some pictures with the characters. I was wondering what are some of the funnier poses you did with the characters. I want some different pictures instead of just standing next to them and smiling. Suggestions please!

I think that would be a little weird for me to do since I am a girl But that is a cute idea! I took my friend philip last year to disney and jasmine made him puff out his chest and fold his arms and she leaned on him like he was aladdin! It was great!

Disney Photopass does the tink/stitch/simba pictures.

They will have you "cup" your hands as they take the picture. When you check the picture out online or through their kiosks in the parks, you will have the character in the palm of your hands. It is really cute. My 4 year old ds loved it!

The only thing is that it is a photopass picture, not something you can do on your personal camera....


The only other suggestion I have is replicate the pose that the characters do. Again, my son loves to do that!!!!!

Usually if you ask the character for a "cool" or "funny" pose they will show you one. Gotta get creative, lol

The key to getting fun photos with the characters:
Be one of them!

Above all, know there names! When we were waiting for the Ratatouille characters, they opened the door and I called "Hey Emile! Remy! Good to see you guys!" Well, they just fawned all over us during our greet, and posed for many photos!

Know their names (the attendants can help if you need it), talk to them (as if they were real!), and don't be afraid to have fun!

Being good friends with the Characters, just don't be afraid to ask them to do a crazy pose. They love it when guests want to do something different, especially since 99% of the time people just come up, put their arms around the characters and smile. You can do the back to back with the arms crossed, bevel with Minnie, Hold up a "Number 1" finger with Donald, Crouch down with Pluto or whatever else you can think of Just remember though, that if you'd like to touch the character's heads or anything, just make sure it's okay with them first. For example, "Hey Pluto, is it okay if I hold up your ear?" or something along those lines.

Thanks for the advice! I am so jealous that you get to work at Disney! I have only 2 years of college left and then I am moving to Florida to teach and work at Disney! I was reading a different thread about some groups that go to Disney and want to hurt the characters! I could not believe people would do that! do you have any funny stories from your experiences working with the characters?

Yeah, i'm not going to point out certain groups, but yes, it happens all the time. Honestly, it's definitely terrifying for the character for many reasons when they get attacked.

Anyway, i've got tons of funny stories...some of which I can't share on here. But, none that come to mind right now (i'm tired...just got done working a long day!). If I think of anything i'll let you know.

Some of the characters will spontaneously do funny things.
Try joking w/ them & they may joke back w/ you.
Goofy, Stitch, Chip & Dale are a few that come to mind when I think of joking!
