sounds like buzz ride- which I like, but do we need another? It really doesn't sound like they put much thought into this ride. Only time will tell what it will be like?

If there were ride vehicles that stopped in every room and took 5 minutes to complete the cycle as stated, imagine the wait for this attraction! YIKES!

"Most of the operational and artistic elements of the expensive new ride have been hammered out, and it really is going to rewrite the book on what a Disney dark ride is. With an hourly capacity of just over 1,500 riders per hour it will keep the lines relatively short compared to the more traditional dark rides that only handle 600 or 700 riders per hour."
Forgot to add that also from miceage.com

MM won't be as static at Buzz. Imagine combining Buzz and Spiderman at IOA and that will be MM, if the rumors are true of course.

According to Al the throughput for this ride will be around 1500/hour. The wait shouldn't be too bad if that is true.

Oh?? Is it going to use similar ride technology as Tokyo Disneyland's Pooh and Tokyo DisneySea's Aquatopia? The "trackless" beam guided ride vehicles could be a cool way to implement a Buzz type shooting ride. A group of 3 cars or so going from room to room in choreographed patterns to form up in center of each room and pause allowing the interactive sceen to play out, the head out to the next room and next sceen single file.

Just pure speculation.

Yeah...wasn't there a virtual reality element to the attraction? Few physical sets?
Correct, at least from the original rumor. Nearly all of the attraction was going to be 3-d projection screens with a similar ride vehicle to SM at IOA. The ride was suppose to be more family friendly then SM (not as fast or as much spinning) and I think is was to be 2 sided (2 rows of guests each side facing opposite directions)

The technology for the attraction is said to be the same as is used in Epcot at Innoventions in the Liberty Mutual exibit "Wheres the Fire?" It is not similar to Buzz. I had never seen "Wheres the Fire" until I found out about this, and went and I must say the technology is really cool.

That makes sense. At first, I thought it would be a downer if they made a "toned down" Spiderman-type ride (which is a ride I love), but not being as wild and adding the interactive element allows for a more family friendly ride, which is what MGM desperately needs.

Does anyone know the soundstage #? If it is Stage 22 then they are gearing up for a large attraction/show. Stage 22 is being redone from the ground up just like the ABC Theatre
