The new menu items look good, but I miss the sukiyaki beef you could get in the old version of the Shogun Combo. Still, whenever I see news like this I'm reminded how great the counter-serve choices are at Epcot compared to everywhere else.

Can't wait! Did they change the news stand?

Trying to figure out where the name came from. Anyone know? All I can figure is a tree, a girl's name, or a royal family name.

Pavilion looks better than ever! They just need to install something in that giant show building worthy of the rest of the land.

This weekend I visited this place for the first time, post-renovation, and had a mouth-watering meal of the curry rice, with chicken cutlet. The restaurant seemed brighter, a little spacier, but I kind of miss the old behind the counter atmospher and it's 80's vibe. Now it is more open behind the counter just like any quick service joint. Also the workers are the new school workers, whereas the Yakitori had what I would term, veteran workers. Customer service is still superb. Maybe it's just me but the 80's facilities seem new as well. Of course, the food was awesome, and the surrounding gardens are beautiful!

All I want to know is have they returned to using white chicken breast meat or are they using cheaper dark thigh (and who knows where else) meat?

Yakitori House was my favorite QSR at EPCOT from opening until about 7-8 years ago when they destroyed the quality of the food and increased the prices by about 25% ... by now ... even more.

I won't eat at a place that is multiple times worse in quality than Yoshinoya (too bad we don't have them in FLA!)
