I'm ready to use my points there as long as they are about in line with BLT. Looks great IMHO.

Yes, must better than I anticipated.

That looks suspiciously like the Citricos side of the main building, plus all of the balconies look like they are singles. Unless that is done on purpose, and the partitions can be removed, to make it blend with the rest of the resort. I was also under the impression that there wasn't going to be that much beach left.

From the site plan it looks like they will be expanding the beach a bit.

It matters where exactly that shot is being take from. It looks like there is a room length's of beach between the new shoreline and pathway, with the width of the building between it and the shoreline.

The thing that intrigues me is the building on the left side of the photo, I can't seem to place what that is unless it is part of the t that the building forms.

They have worked out financially, of course, for Disney in the near term.

But there is a long term cost, primarily the impact of over development of the property. That has financial effects for the company they will continually deal with in the future, and affects guests as the "World" becomes more and more built up like the real world.

The Florida project had the "blessing of size" but was continued development of the property into time shares part of that vision?

The building does look attractive and fits in nicely with the existing resort. However, artist's renderings will always portray a project in the best light and the eventual reality never can be exactly the same.

My concern here is the impact of over development as well. With the addition of Bay Lake Tower, DVC at the Grand Floridian and the Four Seasons at Golden Oaks, Disney continues to expand lodging, without expanding the parks. The proximity of all these developments to the Magic Kingdom has the potential to make an already overly crowed park even more so. Even the expansion of Fantasyland may not be able to absorb the population increase when all three new projects are completed and fully occupied.

I agree. The monorails will be jammed packed all the time. Water traffic will increase a bit as well. I just hope they do it right and extend the beach into the lagoon quite a bit to keep the charm of the Grand Floridian.

Same concern here.

The other thing to look at is the Monorail system isn't in great shape in terms of having a smooth ride in the afternoon or evening even without rain. On August 26th, the monorail stopped without moving for 5 to 20 minutes multiples starting around 7:00 p.m. . I experienced that when I used the monorail for checking out the hotels and going to the Polynesian to see the Electrical Water Pageant.

Disney has to worry about the empty areas of the current parks first. Like the wonders of life pavilion of epcot, Making the noodle station at magic kingdom full time ,finishing fantasy land. Things like that before they expand the parks or build a fifth gate.
