There is one odd aspect about all this: in Paris, ice cream parlours are associated with Italy. The 'Artisan des glaces' resembles an Italian ice cream parlour in Paris.

I, too, have been trying to figure out the difference between this "sorbet" and what many of us understand to be "gelato."

I'm beginning to fear there is a new aesthetical order in World Showcase. This Italian ice cream parlour is the equivalent to the modern flight attendant costumes in the American Adventure. WS is moving away from a certain historical, quaint representation towards a modern, stark realist look.

Personally, I think that's a mistake.

A terrible mistake. That historic charm is what makes world showcase world showcase.

Ironically, I was surprised to see how strictly historic-looking Tutto Gusto and La Hacienda were. Perhaps there's still hope.
