Hmm looks good. I wonder if you can sample :)

There were no samples being given this morning.

I was hoping to really like this place, but sadly came away a bit disappointed. The ice cream was good, but not amazing. The price is high for the very small portion size. I doubt I will be returning.

Nice pics!

Can we get nutritional info on this stuff? Kind of hoping against hope that there is a non-fat, fruity sorbet...but realize the odds are against it. :)

Wish this had been open 3 weeks ago when moi was there but it looks very tasty. I'm personally diggin' the french country vibe of the interior. The location specific paper cone-wrap thing is a nice touch. The could've easily gone the cheap route and made it plain white or brown.

Have you been to either ice cream shop in DTD? Maybe a buck more than Ben & Jerrys at Universal, roughly in line with there as well.
No, sure haven't. But in comparing the prices to the ice cream parlor over on Main Street USA, it seems a bit high - where you can get a rather intimidating sundae for $5 and change.

The ordering system is a little usual unusual. You first go to a register and choose the size, but not the flavor. You then pay, and move to a display case where you then choose the flavor and cone or cup, both are the same price. You then move to the pickup side to collect your treat. There is no indoor seating, but there is available seating at the bakery next door, or outside in the street area.

As a current resident of Paris, I can say that this is the way the popular glaces chains like Berthillon and Amorino are set up as well. I suppose it can be kind of unusual, but I'm pleased to see Disney keeping and imposing some of the classic aspects of a glaces shop in France into EPCOT. :)

Interesting, thanks. I'm not sure how well it will work in the US though, I think most guests are going to try to give the complete order at the ordering station.

Hmm may have to try out the ice cream with the booze, sounds like a delicious way to get my fill on two of my favorite things. As far as prices go, its really not that bad, I spend almost as much on frozen yogurt as what they are charging for two scoops and I'd much rather eat ice cream than frozen yogurt. Does anyone know if they will be accepting the DDP snack credit for a single scoop?

No more French Pastry. How did I miss this refurb? I am disappointed. I think of France when I think of Pastry and Italy when I think of ice cream (gelato) as far as deserts go. Man. this stinks!

You''ve actually missed two refurbs ;)The patisserie has moved into a larger location inside near the impressions de France exit.
