I would say there are plenty of times when it looks overly plastic, but this is due to material choices that are prevalent throughout the Florida theme parks because of the climate.New Fantasyland looks cheap?
The ambiance, the immersion, the wow factor....all gone.
Never thought of that and that would have worked better, By the way many of those Bromeliads are PLASTIC Bromeliads, The ones closest to the outside of all the planters are real, the remainder petroleum based. This was based on physical inspection. - hmm why do those look plasticky , reach out and touch. "Because they are indeed plastic". #FAILbut for Guest Experience you now have a pile of rubble with bromeliads...
maybe when the tiki is put ontop it will look better... but at this point it really looks random and cheap.
they could have put the old Enchanted Tiki Room fountain there....that was at least a lot taller and would have looked more polynesian...
And most of said flowers are fake...The rock feature seriously looks like a big pile of petrified horse manure....with flowers around it
His BonusWhat do you think he was thinking/feeling about two seconds before this moment?
The one thing that can be said for project is that concept art has been accurate so far, So I'd expect trader SAMs to match artwork shown so far.I guess we shouldn't get our hopes up for what Trader Sam's is going to look like....
He said 100 degrees, not 80.Make that from April to October, For crying out loud it hits 80 degrees some days in DECEMBER.
"NEVER AGAIN...."Imagine someone who stayed at the Polynesian in 1983 and whose parents paid a reasonable price of $90 per night to stay at what they remember as a glorious resort with Macaws and amazon parrots perched atop a grand water feature in the lobby with flowing falls and vegetation all around with knowledgeable and friendly Cast Members to help make your vacation magical!
So that person decides to finally go back to WDW and experience it all once again with their children. They are probly imagining it being even better because hey, its 2014 and ITS DISNEY, it could have only gotten better with time!!! $600 a night later...
I think there is a reason for that.Good point and quite possible but why not install the Tiki now, But these days with the sheep flocking to WDW to be fleeced I can also see TDO not installing it since the guests will supposedly be happy without it.
I think he means that they look generic. As in everything is made of the single same cut now, to reduce costs.New Fantasyland looks cheap?
seems Santa gave the Poly a big pile of coals.
He said 100 degrees, not 80.
Sorry, I couldn't remember who posted that. My experience has never been unbearably hot except in August but I guess it varies.Considering It was MY post, I've been there in May AND October when it's exceeded 100 degrees so it's more than 2 months of the year and It's plenty hot on a regular basis the rest of the year.
Here it, although not yet operatingdoes anyone know if the statue and water from the concept art was canceled or is this the final product?
If it weren't for the pizza hut red bench seats, I could possibly get use to the changes, over time, maybe, kinda-sorta. But those things do not fit and have got to go. I hope Disney is listening somewhere whether it be here or guest comments because whoever thought that was a good idea heads should roll. I hope all of us, myself included, send in your comments to Disney.
