Awesome, looks like they did a great job. Thanks for the photos, Steve.

While I am quick to criticize the issues I see with the parks, I think you have to dispense with the praise when it's due if you offer criticism. So many people are eager to criticize the faults, but they don't acknowledge the many improvements.

Hopefully this thread gets the attention it deserves and goes on for ten plus pages, but I'm betting it'll be lucky to get 10+ replies.

The refurbs on MSUSA recently have indeed been very well done. Kudos are indeed deserved.

Yes! They are amazing. One of the artist Megan, turned me into a silhouette of a Gibson girl! She is very talented. They are not expensive and they sell the frames with them. Megan was still working there the first week of March of this year.

This is my most favortie part of Main Street. I always spend a little time here each trip. I love to sit and watch the people go by as the park is closing. You would be amazed at how many people duck into the little side street to kiss or argue. LOL!

It's so funny you say that. One of the only times me and my sister ever had a fight in Disney it was on center street. I didn't realize others sought out the location for this as well lol. Ahhhh sisterly love

Wouldn't it be nice if that if some day the street looped all the way around to the area near the new M&Gs or some other themed configuration. Looks great. Of course praising TDO in these parts only unleashes the Kraken and all the mini-krakens. :hurl:

~the tide has turned as I always said it would~

Of course, on the other end of the spectrum, there's this...

Blindly praising everything and claiming a tide has turned when there are still plenty of issues is just as bad as being negative about everything.

As with most things in life, balance is good.

Add me to the praise column. I love to grab some type of sticky breakfast and a cup of coffee from the bakery and find a quiet table down Center St for breakfast. The wife and I do that at least once every trip. From the pictures, they did a great job hiding the big gate that used to be so unsightly back there. Great Job TDO!!!!

It does look great!
My family also uses this spot in the morning to sit and enjoy our MS Bakery goodies and coffee. Sadly, on our last trip in February we discovered that 2 SotMK stations have been positioned on Center St. The volume level of gameplay was greater than that of the ambient sounds coming from the "shops" on Center St. As it were, we couldn't hear the piano and voice lessons going on inside the "music studio".

Let's all hope these issues with SotMK are resolved...

One thing I will remember about Center Street was it's other form..Back in the 80's it was dubbed "Flower Alley"...As shown here..With Air Supply...Ah Nostalgia..How I miss thee..

Looks fantastic.

One of my absolute favorite places in WDW. So relaxing and such a great place to just chill. And the dancing and voice lessons in the the window there is one of those Disney hidden treasured details that just makes you smile and we always go there to hear it and enjoy the quiet time.

In fact, while it was behind tarps, my dad and I still went there to hang out for a few and the voice/dance lessons loop was actually playing!! Way to go TDO for that! :)

Are the piano lessons still playing back there?

One of my favorite touches in any Disney theme park is the hidden stuff. There's piano lessons and a dude taking a shower in Disneyland Paris. Classic.

We need time for things to happen.
Love it. Can't wait to sit down and enjoy ice cream in a waffle cone on one of those benches on a late september evening this year.:D

Love the brick is being well maintained in the road. Should spend more time down that run when we're there.
