I don't know if it's the camera or not, but the lighting for Beast's Castle is a little too bright for me. They should tone it down to a more purple/blue color rather than just bright blue. Otherwise, looks great! Prince Eric's castle looks great with its lighting!

For all the complaining that goes on these boards, this should put a little reassurance that TDO does pay attention to detail. Yeah it may take some time, or a lot of time, but when it's done, it's done with great detailing. Looks great and can't wait to see it for myself. Thanks for the pics.

It is great to see some first shots of the night lighting. I cannot wait to see this area opened up and allow for some great night shots. I better all the wandering paths and Belle's village will look great with amazing lighting. Like any good "show" lighting is key.

I remember seeing the first DUMBO night shots of the ride in action. They really took the look to the next level. Disney is a very pretty place, but it is extra magical at night. There is something about the night...

I can't wait to see more. Thanks for posting these.

I notice that the "new" windows in Eric's castle (the ones they moved) didn't have lights on. I really hope that they installed lights in those windows after they moved them.

No, what you see is WDI and the design of the new stuff having detail... what you see the complaining about is enlarge once its done, and handed over to the local ops controlled by TDO... that the wheels come off. Large scale skimping on the budget you hear complaints over aren't going to typically come out of show lighting...

When at the Halloween party last Friday night, the Beast's castle was lit up and it surprised me because for all the photos I'd seen of that castle, it struck me this was the first time I'd seen lighting coming from the interior. The area does look great and will be a wonderful improvement over what was there before.

Great shots as usual Steve, thanks for posting. I'm curious; how do you manage to get the great photographs so quickly when you're half a world away? Do you have a friend or family member that visits or works in the parks daily? Or do you just rely upon the members of the boards?

Thanks.
