We got photopass free when ordering. I think it has 20 pages with it and believe we can purchace additional pages later. Has anyone ever gotten this? How did it turn out? How much are additional pages?

We received a free photopass with our tickets last summer. We thought this was a great bonus, but it turns out photopasses are free anyway! Just ask a photographer in one of the parks & they will give you one! We ordered a cd with copyright permission that included all photopass pictures from our trip. You have to order the cd within 30 of your trip or Disney will discard them. We weren't sure if we would buy them, but a week before our 30 days expired, they sent us an e-mail with a discount code. We paid approx. $100 for 75 pictures. A way to get around this extra expense is to ask the photographer to also take a picture using your camera. 9 times out of 10 they will, if you ask nicely!

20 page book

The program we got supposedly comes with a 20 page book. Were you satisfied with the CD and looking back happy you got it?

In my opinion photopass is great and you should def. take advantage of it. If you're getting the book for free be sure to seek out the photopass photographers to get your pictures taken. You can also upload your own pictures when you get back home to the site to use in your book. I have a book that I made from my college program and I love it.

*Another photopass tip: The photographers will also take pictures with your camera after they've taken theirs if you ask. It's a great way to get the same photos but not have to pay for them!**

They're trained to honor that request 100% of the time, whether you ask them nicely or not. They should never say no if you ask them to take a photo with your own camera.

Never gotten the book, but the cd is fun, you can crop pictures, add borders, signatures or characters to each picture (even make the same picture several different ways). It is also the only way to get the "magic shots" which are very cute (ask your photopasser if they do any). Also bonus pictures are added at special times. Good Value as long as you get plenty of pics. :)

Photopass is a free service that is offered to all guests so they have the option of purchasing the images at a later date (or in the parks) in many forms. You can order individual prints, the photo cd w/copyright release, downloads, photobooks, photo movies, etc. What is included in your package is a 20 page photo book. They're neat. I've never ordered one, tho.

Excuse me if this is a ridiculously stupid question, but how is the photopass obtained? I have a very special moment planned my upcoming trip and arranged to have a Disney photographer there. Do I just get a number from them? Is it somehow linked to my ticket? I've been to WDW 6 times and never tried this out. They have also told me they will take pics with my camera as well so I was surprised to hear that. I would love to have the option of buying the CD with pictures taken with a good camera as opposed to just my point-and-shoot. Thanks!

The only stupid question is the one not asked. Better to not live just wondering.

If you've arranged a special moment that you were told a Photopass photographer will be there, then you don't need to do a thing. They'll use a "blank" card and hand it to you when they're done. If you want to use the Photopass service before that special moment you have planned you simply walk up to any Photopass photographer, let them know you don't have a card yet, they'll take your photos, scan a "blank" card for you, and hand it to you. After that if you see other Photopass photographers you can hand them your newly acquired card, they'll take the photos, scan your card, and hand it back to you. The ride picture on Test Track (not sure about other attractions such as Splash Mountain or Space Mountain) can be put on a Photopass card for you, too! There's no limit to the number of Photopass cards you can use. Also, if you have your picture taken at Cinderella's Royal Table, Chef Mickey's, etc. check the receipt and/or around the pictures themselves for a number code similar to what you see on the Photopass cards. You can input those numbers just as you would a Photopass card and the pictures will be added to your account for you. Whenever you are ready you go to the Photopass website, create your account, input the numbers of all the Photopass cards you have, and voila! Your pics will appear! Then you can edit, play, add borders, etc. You have up to (I believe) 30 days from the date the pictures were taken before they start falling off your account. There are options to purchase additional time if you should need it. I don't think the Photopass card #'s ever disappear from your account. I've used the same account for many years and I've got a loooong list of card #'s. I still use my miniature Photopass cards with the wrist bungee they gave out at the Fairies meet-n-greet and the water parks a couple years ago. I love those things!

Also, just in case you need it, here's a link to the pre-visit offer!
