$199.95 Walt Disney World Resort/ $99.95 Disneyland Resort

So you get the photo CD for free and can print from it? Is this deal worth it? It's $169.95 online.

**EDIT** We do plan on eating at CRT and Akershus.

I wouldn't call it free!

We always get photopass and will continue to get the "plus" version. It just works out for our family where we feel like we are getting a TON of professional photos with ALL of us in them. I know others have had bad quality in photos but we have not experienced that.

We have 3 of the meals listed..and last year we DID buy the pics at the meals they were taken at. We have never taken them out of the bags because of the crazy ex of Noah's that was with us. We got regular Photopass and I have never even printed a single picture... but I fear I will regret it if I DON'T get it this time..decisions!

Well, in your case it's not such an easy sell. CRT and Akershus include the pictures in the meal price. So you really aren't getting any perks at those two locations. If you enjoy doing the rides where the ride photos are included, and would have considered buying 2-3 of them, then its a good decision. Otherwise you could just pre-order the CD only for $119 and save $50 over the plus package cost.

The first year we did a trip to WDW and used photopass I paid $90.00 for 4 prints. The following year I pre-purchased the photo CD. Whether or not it is worth it depends on how good the pictures come out and how many prints you will make. If you have a lot of great pics and plan on printing at least 10 of them, then yes it is worth it.

An additional piece of advice; if you do pre-purchase the Photopass+, make every attempt to use the it while at WDW. Everytime you see a photographer get a couple of pictures, that's what you are paying for. It doesn't make sense to get the photopass if you didn't really have pictures taken.

I'm going for Photopass+ this year...we are eating at 4 of the participating restaurants, and will be riding all of the rides multiple times (and I'm excited to capture my son's first experience on ToT, Space, and EE!). We did the regular Photopass last year, and we were really happy with it - even used a couple of them on our Christmas card.

Test Track isn't listed, presumably because of the refurb, but will most likely also be available once it re-opens since it was one of the few places you could load the photos to your regular Photopass card.

We are most likely going to get Photopass+ for our December trip this year. It will be DD's first time on most of the rides listed, we are eating at some of those restaurants, and we meet tons of characters and it would be nice for all of us to be in the pics. Often when I go through our pics after a trip it seems like DD was on vacation by herself!

It also most likely isn't listed as it isn't a benefit to the Photopass+. As you pointed out, any Photopass card can claim that photo.

Very Very expensive! We got it for my Mom's 70th birthday. Mom wanted it. But, in general, the CMs will take a nice photo for you, and that's pretty nice enough.;)

We always do the photopass cd and will do the +version this Nov for the ride and meal photos. We do like the photopass borders and options that you can add to your base photos and also always do a black and white set. Last I looked the had no limit on the amount of photos you can have. Last trip we had over 800 photos on our set that came in 4 cds.

We're debating the +version for this trip. Last year we bought 7 PhotoDownloads of our trip and spent $70. We already pre-ordered the photopass cd before they announced the +version. We're also eating at 3 of the restaurants listed and the kids are big enough to ride most of the on photo rides listed.

The photopass in general is a highly debated point, much like the dining plan. Is it worth it or not? If you usually buy the pictures, then yes, it is worth it. I usually buy the ride photos at like $20 a pop. And I love all the pictures the photopass photographers take. For every trip, we get the regular photo pass so it makes sense for me to bump up and buy the photopass plus. My DH and I are also believers in the dining plan too. I just like having almost everything paid for prior to going on vacation. I don't have to worry when I am there. So my answer is yes, it is worth it. :)

Keep in mind they give you a timeframe for the photos to expire - I'm pretty sure it's 30 days. If you are going for 2 weeks, and you access your photos from a Photopass desk on day 2, the clock starts ticking on the 30 days from that point. You can always get an extension, but they charge for that (it used to be $4.95 for a week, I think).

yes, it is 30 days. My method is going back to the room and doing the editing and cropping that night and adding the borders. I do this for 2 reason - I am too excited and need to see the pics! And also, it makes less work at the end of the trip.
