PhotoPass Pix Locations-In Hotels?

I have seen some older posts of Photopass photograhers being at some of the hotels. Can anyone confirm that this is still the case? Are they at the Boardwalk or DTD? Just trying to get the most band for the buck!

Oh yeah I forgot! You can get 30 minute private picture session at the AK lodge, Grand Floridian, Yacht and Beach club and Polynesian. The pics from those sessions can be added to your photo pass card.

You have to make reservations and pay for photography at the resorts. I haven't seen them at DTD but maybe around the holidays they are.

Yes and no. Photopass still maintains kiosks at some of the deluxe hotels. I believe the Poly, GF, AKL, WL, and Beach/Yacht. However, they don't typically take pictures there anymore. Some of the resorts will have photographers during the holiday season, but they are on a set schedule (usually something like 5-9) and I think are only there really for the month of December, even if the trees are up earlier/later. They may overhang a few days in either direction, but you can't count on it now.

They will also be at DTD taking pictures when Santa or Santa Goofy is out during the holiday season. A few years back I ran a Photopass share and one of the other participants did have some DTD pics done around Halloween, but I have no idea if that was a fluke, or if they still do it.

As far a I am aware, anyone can walk up to the "studio" at DTD and if they aren't busy, they will take your picture. BBB girls obviously get precedence, but if there is no one there feel free to ask.

This is no longer the case. Photopass no longer handles the portrait sessions, it has since been handed over to Disney Event Photography. You can see their website here -> http://www.disneyeventphotography.com/portraits/

Oh really? I didn't know that. I stand corrected then.

The portrait sessions kinda go both ways. Yes the price went up, you don't get them on a Photopass CD, but they are now taken by the same people that do the wedding sessions. So they should be a much higher quality photo session than if done by a Photopass cast member. I think after they doubled or tripled the cost the figured they could go all the way to a "professional" session and help keep the wedding staff busy between weddings.

I can only speak to GF. Yes, they have one on the 2nd floor.

Join me, together we can rule the galaxy.
The photographers are a much higher quality, the equipment used is professional level including the camera bodies. The quality of photographs is substantially better with DEP than PP as a result of the better equipment and photographers to boot.

When I went to WDW in Dec 2012, they had photopass photographers in the GF, near the tree, WL, near the tree. I will have to look through my pics to see if there were any others.

Typically its been GF, WL, AKL, some years at BC/YC, and I was told one year that one of the values had one, maybe POP!? But they do staff photographer during the dinner hours at the big Christmas trees during the holiday season. Otherwise there won't typically be a photographer actively taking pictures. Earlier I listed the resorts that have a kiosk where you can view your pictures, but the PP CMs working there typically won't shoot during that job role.
