Thanks for the pictures...I LOVE picture updates more than anything! I never thought I'd see the day when Everest was this close to being finished. I know it still has a way to go before opening, but seeing the outside framework about finished is very exciting. Lastly, I hate to see that big wall outside of the train station. Imagine someone's very first glimpse inside the gates of the MK being that wall; but I guess unfortunately it can't be avoided. Thanks again!

Oh my GOSH Everest looks kreaking AMAZING. That snow looks so real. That ride is going to own the world when it's done.

I wonder if, whil going up the lift hill, it will seem like the train is flying. Or floating. Because there's nothing underneath it but track, and usually you can't see the track you're on from the train.

Thanks a TON for the update-izzle.

Thank you so much for posting those pics. It is appreciated..I agree about the wall as you come into the MK being a "bad" first impression.

My boyfriend and I are going in 28 days (sooo excited!!!!:hammer: ) and he has never been to any disney park...so I am a little disappointed about the construction walls, but rehabs do have to get done.:)

That is so funny.. you got all the same info and pics as I have! I was going to comment about the scanning of the keys for EMH... I wonder when they started that. They were doing it on Thursday night at Epcot.

I was also at the MK on Friday and saw the rainbow!

And I got lots of pics of the Mickey-o-lanterns... as of Friday they were out front before bag check and at the entrance to Mickey's Toowntown Fair.. those were the only places that I spotted any Halloween decs... besides in the shops of course.

I have a pic of the Riverboat from the train... I can't post it at the moment... but if no one posts one before I get back I'll post it Monday or Tuesday.

Everest is mind blowing. I don't even care if the ride doesn't live up to expectations.. I'd pay to get in the park just to stand there and look at it!

Great update! :sohappy:

About the Plasmas at Spaceship Earth, I was riding a couple of weeks ago and one screen said in a caption "this bulb has used the best of it's life cycle" thats not exactly what it said but it was clearly a indication that it was time to change the bulb in that projector....

These appeared to be plasmas, but they may well have been projector screens instead. Kind of hard to see in the dark, and my buddy and I were having an extended discussion over whether "those are new" or not. What really made our minds up that they were new was the fact that they were much larger than the old ones (at least, that's the conclusion we came to in our fuzzy memory). I tried to take a picture, but the "those are new" lightbulb didn't go off until we were almost at the top of the lift.

Rainfully -- sorry to steal your thunder (no pun intended). Please feel free to post your stuff, too. We can never get too many photos!

Wow what a great post! Full of great pics and loads of info! :)
I'm going the last 2 weeks of October and wonder what condition Town Square and the Railroad Station will be in. But I will keep in mind that all rehabs are a necessary evil.
Lastly, $10.00 and under stores !!! What and where are they? This is news to me!

In Downtown Disney marketplace, the shop is located in an alcove that connects to the Winnie The Pooh store. It used to be like a little garden section or something.

I think they are projector screens. If you look closely you can tell that a few aren't quite aligned correctly and the image bleeds off the side, unless of course they have been changes since my last ride at the end of August. Thanks for the great pics. It looks like Epcot is getting some much needed attention.

Spaceship Earth appears to have some new plasma screen TVs inside the main lift tunnel. These are in addition to the "sit down or get kicked out" TV that recently appeared in the load area. These show the same animation as before (the rotating "time machine")
maybe this is what the rumored major rehab of SSE and the new "screen technology".............. ok, only kidding

If you can get by the "Everything under $10" store at Downtown Disney over the next day or so, you may want to pick up some of the Haunted Mansion and Peter Pan die cast ride vehicle toys... $10 will get you four of them!
i swear it stinks living so far away........... how bad do i want a die cast Doombuggie on my desk. (do they have Doombuggies?) if not, then i dont feel so bad.
