About 1 minute after everyone near the carillon bells at the top went mysteriously deaf.

The House of Commons. 308 members from all walks of life gather here, and on occasion, get something done. (I sat in on Question Period last trip in the balcony above.)

I don't remember what Lord this was, but some people said he looks a lot like me.

...Because I totally wear long purple robes as daily attire.

Backside of the War Memorial. Our hotel was just down the street and straight on looking from this direction.

Thought this was funny. Cedar Point's version would be "$3.50 Soda! With a magnificent side order of light rain, closed rides, 3 trash cans/square inch, and crappy food service."

Our final picture of the day at the Arts Centre, which it's hard to believe this was really the focus of the entire trip. The sea of humanity after the Yamaha concert is actually quite photogenic; let's see MK after Wishes do THAT.

Anyway, I thank you all for reading, looking, and otherwise feigning entertainment, and I wholeheartedly recommend trekking north (for most) to come visit the capital city of America's Frosted Hat. See ya.

Love the Disneyland castle refrence. :animwink: You're so creative with your picture taking!

It's really beautiful up there... when it's not covered in snow. :lookaroun

Brilliant...and Canadian
In the Parks
No
Damn... I did already know about the Chateau Laurier (one of the greatest buildings in the city IMO), but it seemed really odd to me to put a nature museum in a place like that. That's what I get for not researching thoroughly. :o Am I correct in assuming the Mint was just up the street for my picture location? It was taken at the end of Byward.
Yes, the mint is further along that road, just past the National Gallery.

(where I talked to Mike Duffy... I'm certain only some Canadians would even know who he is)
A really big :lookaroun reporter/political pundit?

Though he's lost a lot of weight since his heart attack.

Useless Fact: All Inuit mushers wear futuristic glasses.

A bone with a slit cut in it... Hardly "futuristic". :brick:

^Oh, I know about the bone thing. That caption actually stemmed from something that a band member said: "Is that guy wearing, like, laser glasses?" (To which I said, "You might wanna invest in a pair yourself." )

I was actually the only one who knew in our touring group, even the adults, who Mike Duffy was. Here's how the situation played out: He was finishing taping a promo for that night's show in the lobby just outside the House of Commons. I went to snap a quick photo when he motioned over to me to join him. The tour was in the House of Commons at that moment, but I figured Mike Duffy was as good a reason to wander off as any! I ended up sitting in his "interviewee" chair for a full 5 minutes; he saw my Musicfest wrist band and I got to tell him we won silver. Perhaps the best part of all was actually getting to talk politics with the guy for a few minutes. :D A really great personality. Might be the only political analyst who could make a politician feel somewhat at ease. (And that's when he gets 'em. :lookaroun)

Thanks again, all!
