*AWESOME* report! CP is my home park (grew up in Cleveland), and I can't wait to make it out there this summer! Can't wait for Maverick, I already have a shirt.

Matter of fact, I'm wearing mine now. Black tee with the big graphic on it? :lol:

The Mantis needs more cushioning... even for girls.

2. Am I thinking of the wrong thing? I remember there being a ride we rode when I was a kiddo - it had a big Pirate ship out front that we got to climb all over, then later they repainted the ship and made it so kids couldn't climb on it anymore - which always drove me nuts when we walked by it. :lol: But that was back in... oh 84-87'ish... I think that's the same thing right?

Anyway. I more or less miss the big ship. :lol:

Oddly enough, the “view” rooms look out towards Lake Erie… wouldn’t you rather have this?

Got on the fourth train of the day… unfortunately, only the first THREE got the honour of failing to clear the hill. Lousy combo passholders.

I think they’ve given my glasses up for dead by now.

Tested my zoom for the next few.

Caught some of Krystyna’s minions spying on me near Magnum. (Now they know what my favourite ride is? No good can come of this.)

This train was stuck in the tunnel blocks for 20 minutes… of course, next weekend, the media would refrain from using “once-in-a-lifetime accident” and would instead go for “massive injuries” while broadcasting Maverick footage, ‘cause clearly they‘re almost the same, right? So thank you, media outlets. (Can you tell I’m still bitter about all this?!)

I say Raptor will be next… don’t think the news has jumped down this ride’s throat yet.

Flying Man makes another cameo appearance in the same seat!

Magnum… THROUGH some various foliage including but not limited to TREES!

So, if the only thing setting back Maverick’s opening was the track… what exactly are they fixing in here?

OK, technically the first time I visited the Point was 1994... And believe me, this was the BEST ride at the park back then! I swear!

I’d never been on the beachwalk (hey, there’s no boards, right?) around the park, so I figured I’d give it a go.

It’s actually a fairly wide beach. This was, of course, the main attraction back when the park first opened… 1870!

…I turned around to find that some Canadian freighter had snuck up behind me!
