Some rides I just don't see how live streams would even work well. A lot of rides are loud and some are dark so that would make for a very good live stream video feed.

I guess I am so into the ride myself that I don't even notice what other people are doing so I really don't know if they are live streaming or not.

One of our favorite live streamers is ResortTV1. They seem like the type who would never be disrespectful or interfere with other park guests while vlogging their streams. They make good money on evenings when they visit a park, a few thousand$ sometimes for a few hours and riding a few rides.
If you're clever enough to turn that type of profit while people like us are blowing$ to be at the same place riding same rides, I say do what you want. 😂 Lol

Yeah, I agree, ResortTV1 is very considerate with all aspects of their streaming. As others have said, I am ok with streaming rides and long as they are not talking and preferably they keep their screen brightness down.

Back in the day, I was going to attempt to take a photo of the Rock n Roller Coaster launch but the CM saw that I had my phone out and asked me to put it away. Ever since then, I have tried to keep my phone in my pocket because I don’t want to be that guy.

I hear ya on that. Getting called out once is all it takes for me. Happened once to me too. I felt awkward for the whole ride.

The only time I appreciated a cellphone being used in a Park was in the Pirates fast pass queue where a couple of light bulbs were burned out. The couple ahead of us got out their cellphones and lit the queue. When they saw my elderly father and his cane they slowed down so we could use their light.

On Rock n Roller Coaster that was probably more about safety.

It would totally annoy me if I were trying to enjoy a ride and someone was yacking on their phone. I suppose it would be ok if the person was on a ride by themselves and/or it wouldn't affect anyone else, but otherwise, it's rude - and as others have pointed out, could be dangerous if it flew off and hit someone.

If someone is live streaming on a ride I'm on, I have no problem with that.

If someone is live streaming on a ride I'm on and narrating, I have a big problem with that.

If you want to film, do so without others being distracted by it. That means noise, lighting, or narration.

I agree. If it's not disturbing others then it's ok.

I was on Kilimanjaro Safaris and asked to be seated on the left side because I love the big cats, I know I sound entitled, but, seeing a cheetah and the lions make my day. CMs are usually fine with it as I'm not expecting to be on my own if it's busy. However, I asked the CM this time and he said no, even though there was hardly any line, so I was sat on the right hand side next to a couple and thought 'okay, it's not that bad'. Except as we hit the Savannah she gets a call and starts face timing her daughter, volume full on, then her granddaughter comes on so this lady decides to show the child the ride, including me, I think my face said it all, so she tells them she'll call back after and sits there stoney faced the rest of the ride, not even interested in the animals.
I think it is so rude to live stream or film and show private people who don't want their images broadcast on the Internet. And filming on any dark ride or show is the height of ignorance if your screen is lit up.
Someone mentioned VHS cameras, can you remember how big and bulky they were? I don't recall anyone ever using one on an attraction.

I would have given her the stink eye!
