At least it's at DHS. It'd be worse if they interrupted Castle Dream lights or something like that. Being that DHS is more of a "real world" park than the others, especially in the Streets of America, it fits. The perfect fit, no, but still a good one. And what does it really distract? 2 minutes of the show. It could have been worse.

Do they do this between every dancing bit? Or just once or twice an hour? I can easily see this slowing down the Photopass photographers even more. As it is they weren't shooting during the shows, but if they now have to deal with those outages between em as well...... Yikes.

No its only once per pass through the entire sequence, so probably in the once per hour timeframe.

Expect to see some P & F integration (merch, plugs such as this one) during the holidays to promote their Christmas DVD.

I don't have children and I am not familiar with Phineas and Ferb.

I am not a fan of adding characters to everything. There is enough that appeals to children in the parks without that.

That sounds like a reasonable balance. It is all about the synergy baby! I might find it a bit more interesting if I had ever watched the show, but it seems fairly harmless. I bet the kids get a kick out of it.

The writers of P&F also work on Family Guy so the comedy has several layers but is (of course) family friendly. I like the show more than my 4 year old does!!!!

It's great. My kids lit up at that (unexpected and most accidentally encountered) moment more than during any other moment in our entire trip.

I've never really saw what they do there for Christmas until that clip. I agree that P&F may not be the most ideal fit for a holiday themed show, its only 2 minutes out of every hour and was amusing.

The dancing lights are enough to induce seizures!

Considering P&F had their own holiday special that premiered last year...I think it makes sense to incorporate them into something holiday related in the parks. We LOVE Phineas & Ferb!!!

I think this is a pretty impressive way to get the characters into the parks in a pretty non-obtrusive way.

First of all, from a Disney standpoint - almost no expense. Paying the voice talent for, what, maybe an hour of work. Paying a tech to reprogram the lights for, what, maybe 15 minutes of work. Not that I think it will happen, but, in the event that P+F suddenly wanes in popularity - they have an attraction (not a ride or really a show, but technically an attraction) that cost next to nothing. And it satifies (temporarily) some of the folks who have been clamouring for P+F in the parks.

Second of all, from a Disney family standpoint. Does our family love P+F? Yup. Will our DD go nuts when this happens as we walk the streets of America. Yes. Will she want to stay an extra hour to hear it happen again? Yes. (which, back to the Disney standpoint means we are buying a snack or two and possibly visiting some shops during that hour - although, I personally will just go see MuppetVision 3 times in a row).

Third of all, from a Disney nube standpoint. I pointed out the video to someone at my work today and she watched it. She has no idea who P+F are and has never been to Disney. She loved it. Thought the plot was hysterical. She could immediately identify the character of Doofenshmirtz pretty accurately. She was a bit confused by Perry the Platypus but got a giggle out of the word platypus by itself.

Fourth of all, from a theming standpoint. Doesn't Doofenshmirtz try to take over the tri-state area every episode? So, wouldn't taking over the 'Streets of America' fit this conceit pretty well?

I look forward to seeing the lights this weekend and I am certain we will make sure to catch the Phineas and Ferb portion of the show!

Of course, why wouldn't Doofenshmirtz try to take over the Osborne Lights?!?!

I kind of loved it. So did my hubby when I just showed him the clip. Maybe it's because we, as a family, love P&F. Ok, maybe hubby and I a little more than the kids, but anyway....I thought it was really well done. Tasteful, simple, highly amusing.

I am a big fan of tradition, especially when it comes to all things Christmas. But once an hour? I think it's a harmless deviation from tradition. If you know P&F, you'll be nothing but amused. If you are a guest that might not be familiar, in the two minutes you stand there trying to figure it out, it will be over and you'll be back to mesmerizing lights again :xmas:

This sounds pretty cool...P&F is pretty much the only Disney Channel think we watch on the big screen (the kids can watch the rest on the TV in the play room), pretty much because my wife and I think its really funny too!

I want to know what kind of -inator that Doofenshmirtz uses!
