Nice pics and update!

I don't think the new monorail spiel is THAT bad. I honestly was expecting a lot worse from what people had written here. I was expecting something drastically different or something. For a second or too, I thought it sounded close enough to be the original. The big problem is the computer-generated phrasing the spiel has. Don't know if it was on purpose or what, but there are no pauses between sentences and it jumps from one idea to another without the traditional pause where a period would be, which is a little annoying and distracting. Other than that, it was basically the same spiel word for word with some new info added along the way. The Stitch thing upon entering the MK won't last forever as its just a promotional thing for now, so it doesn't bother me much at all.

Its a shame about those bird droppings in the MK. There were birds all over the place this past weekend in the MK and they make such a mess. Aunt Polly's was just refurbed not that long ago and look what those birds have done already. Geez.

So lemme get this straight, now EVERYONE has to put their fingers in the biometrics..? Now it'll take hours to get through the gates, now...
That's what the new gates are for at the MK. I think eventually most people will eventually get the hang of it, however, I think the biggest problem will be with non-english speaking people.

Since when did the Express Restaurant (aka Pasta Plaza) reopen in Epcot. I used to love that place (especially their meatball sandwhiches and pasta in general). I think they'd have more luck if they went back to that menu. Hopefully it will stay open until July.

They were only using due to the huge crowds over the holiday. The opening was only temporary. However with The food court in the Land now closed, it may be open a bit more than in the past.

great photos! its always nice to see what's going on in The World when you're so far away from it. (wish it was Oct. so i could be there)

the lines at Electric Umbrella looked beastly! i mean...yikes. also, its a shame that there will be *another* meet and greet, and why in front of Timekeeper of all locations...to me that seemed kinda random. oh well...

I still don't understand why you have to insert your fingers.
There using it to make sure people don't buy tickets in mass quantities and sell them to other people. What was happining was that people set up places in Kissimmee (and on the Internet) that sold partially used tickets (in the past, the tickets had no expiration, now you have to purchase an add-on for that). Now, the original person's biometrics are taken and noone else can use it. This way Disney gets the money and not other people. Some may call this greedy, I call it fair.

Great pics and report. I might just have to sneak backstage @ Epcot w/ my ID and take a peek at the outside of The Land. I'd bring my camera but Pluto would probably sniff me out and drag me away :lookaroun:

Honestly... especially among some people around here... it's "cooler" to hate change. Change happens. Sometimes is for the better, sometimes it's not. I happen to think that most of the time (in the long run) it IS for the better. I agree with your comments on the robotic lack of pauses... but maybe they'll work that out.

One of the things I've found over the years is that people love to complain AND they love to be exclusive about the things they know and love. I personally loved Mr. Toad. I have so many fond memories of that ride as a kid. I don't think gaining a great ride like Pooh was worth the loss... but change happens. In my opinion, that was a bad change... but a lot of people pick trivial things like the voice of the monorail speil. So what? Just b/c you knew some trivia about the original or the last one... you're not better than anyone else.

Why can't we all just hope and pray for "Ladder: The Ride" to finally be put in at MGM?

(just FYI... that last line is a really old joke)
